The continuous active mode may also support active switching between multiple states (e.g., an ‘armed away’ state, an ‘armed stay’ state, and a ‘standby’ state) of the security and automation systems. Thus, irrespective of the different states the security and automation system may be continuously active (e.g., always ON).
