Patent number: 8528702Abstract: A lift cage includes a platform having a plurality of platform sections. The cage includes a front-sided and a rear-sided platform section arranged on a central platform section. The platform sections have connection points which are arranged on parallel, vertical planes, whereon the platform sections can be connected together by connection elements. In order to provide additional stabilization for the cage platform, stable platform edge profiles are connected to the uppersides of all platform sections. Subsystems of the lift cage can be premounted in the platform sections. A method for installing a lift wherein a cage platform is prepared in at least two separate platform sections, and the platform sections of the cage platform, which are delivered separately, are connected together by connection elements during installation.Type: GrantFiled: August 19, 2005Date of Patent: September 10, 2013Assignee: Inventio AGInventor: Julien Maury

Publication number: 20090057070Abstract: In an elevator car which comprises a car-platform (1) with several platform-sections (2, 3, 4), a front and a back platform-section (3, 4) are arranged on a central platform-section (2). The platform-sections have fastening points (2.1, 3.1, 4.1) arranged in parallel vertical planes at which these platform-sections are joined to each other by means of fastening elements. As additional stiffening of the car-platform, rigid platform-edge sections (8) are fastened to the upper surfaces of all platform-sections. Subsystems of the elevator car can be pre-installed in the platform-sections. In a method of installing an elevator, the car-platform (1; 21) is made ready at the factory in at least two platform-sections (2, 3, 4) which are separate from each other and, on assembly at the installation site, the platform-sections (2, 3, 4) of the car-platform (1) which are delivered separated from each other are joined to each other by means of fastening elements.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 19, 2005Publication date: March 5, 2009Inventor: Julien Maury

Patent number: 7475756Abstract: In relation with this mechanism for stopping an elevator car is, for the monitoring of the speed of the elevator car, an overspeed governor provided which works based on the swing lever principle, whereby the movement of the elevator car will be transferred by means of a governor rope to the overspeed governor. The governor rope extends itself over the entire shaft height and will be returned at the lower shaft end by means of a deflection sheave and stretched by means of counterweight as well as guided at the upper shaft end over a pulley of the overspeed governor. The ends of the governor rope are fastened on a release mechanics arranged on the elevator car and such release mechanics operates in an emergency a safety gear arranged on the elevator car. With the overspeed of the elevator car a rope brake is released upwards.Type: GrantFiled: April 2, 2003Date of Patent: January 13, 2009Assignee: Inventio AGInventors: Julien Maury, Stefan Hugel

Patent number: 7134529Abstract: A safety device includes a trigger mechanism for triggering a braking wedges attached to first and second double levers to stop an elevator car. A retaining spring detents with a pin on the first double lever and a tension spring engages either the first double lever or the second double lever. The retaining spring maintains the double levers unactuated during normal operation of the elevator and the spring element actuates the double levers after an actuation of the trigger mechanism by a speed limiter.Type: GrantFiled: February 3, 2004Date of Patent: November 14, 2006Assignee: Inventio AGInventor: Julien Maury

Patent number: 7128189Abstract: A tripping device for engaging an elevator lift cage safety brake has actuating levers arranged at a rotary axle for engaging safety brake wedges of the safety braking device. Each actuating lever has a longitudinal slot matched to the diameter of the rotary axle, wherein the actuating lever is freely movable in the direction of the rotary axle and in the direction of the length of the actuating lever. A torsion spring fixes the actuating lever about the rotary axle. One spring end presses the actuating lever downwardly, wherein the movement of the actuating lever is limited by a lower abutment. The other spring end is detachably connected to a support. An upper abutment limits the movement of the actuating lever upwardly. The lower abutment and the upper abutment are each held at a respective end of a T-shaped shackle, wherein the shackle is fixedly connected to the rotary axle.Type: GrantFiled: May 1, 2003Date of Patent: October 31, 2006Assignee: Inventio AGInventors: Julien Maury, Stefan Hugel, Peter Aeschlimann

Publication number: 20050279586Abstract: Shaft pit equipment connects a guide rail and a buffer support with a plate that produces a stiff unit of the buffer support and the guide rail. The plate has a rectangular recess that fits on the narrow side of the guide rail. The plate can be pushed onto a free limb of the guide rail. The recess has on both sides of the free limb an offset that serves for conducting away the lubricating oil, wherein the lubricating oil passes into a lubricating oil collector below the plate. In addition, the plate has in the rail region a bent-over portion at which a screw is arranged. The plate is fixed in the “Y” direction by the screw, in the “Z” direction by the recess and in the “X” direction by the buffer support.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 11, 2005Publication date: December 22, 2005Inventors: Julien Maury, Mario Fernandes

Patent number: 6823969Abstract: A braking device acts on a guide rail and consists of a housing that is arranged at an elevator car yoke and serves as a support for spring packets and/or for adjusting packets. The housing also serves as a support and guide for chock guide elements that in turn retain and guide brake chocks with brake linings. Pushrods engage at one end at the brake chocks, and at the other end are pivotably connected to an actuating fork. Upon braking of the elevator car, the actuating fork is moved at the pushrod end in the direction of the braking device. The guided brake chocks with the brake linings slide in the braking device. At the same time the brake linings are moved at the guide leg of the guide rail. The brake chocks are moved in the braking device and the spring and adjusting packets are stressed, whereby a braking force for stopping an elevator car or a counterweight is generated.Type: GrantFiled: November 25, 2002Date of Patent: November 30, 2004Assignee: Inventio AGInventors: Oliver Simmonds, Stefan Hugel, Julien Maury, Peter Möri, Peter Aeschlimann
