  • Patent number: 9298735
Abstract: A method and apparatus for filtering a peer-to-peer (P2P) search query in a P2P network (100) is provided. A P2P-enabled device (102) generates a P2P search query (404) and appends device capability information to the P2P search query to generate a device-specific P2P search query (412). The device-specific P2P search query is provided (414) to the P2P network (100) and search query results are remotely filtered in response to the device-specific P2P search query to generate filtered search query results for providing to the P2P-enabled device (416).

  • Patent number: 7925784
Abstract: A wireless communication device includes a wireless transceiver, a controller having a re-direction output communicably coupled to the wireless transceiver, and a battery device having a battery level output communicably coupled to the controller, wherein the wireless communication device is operable to attempt re-directing streaming content received at the wireless communication device to another entity in response to a battery level signal on the battery level output coupled to the controller.

  • Patent number: 7890090
Abstract: A mobile communication device as described herein is configured to support a wireless service discovery routine within a wireless local area. The service discovery routine identifies compatible devices in the vicinity of the mobile device, where the compatible devices represent potential forward-to devices for purposes of call forwarding for the mobile device. The mobile device receives one or more potential forward-to telephone numbers during the service discovery routine, selects a designated forward-to telephone number, and generates a call forwarding request that identifies the designated forward-to telephone number. The service discovery routine is carried out using one wireless communication protocol, and the call forwarding request is carried out using a different wireless communication protocol (e.g., a cellular protocol).
