    Abstract: A hydroponic cultivation system includes a plurality of seedbeds, a hanging part, and a transport mechanism. A plurality of seedlings of a plant to be cultivated is transplanted to side surfaces of the plurality of seedbeds. The hanging part hangs each of the plurality of seedbeds while the plurality of seedbeds is arranged in a predetermined horizontal direction from a planting side of the seedlings to a harvesting side of the seedlings. The transport mechanism transports the plurality of seedbeds in the predetermined horizontal direction while widening spaces between the seedbeds in the predetermined horizontal direction in a stepwise or continuous manner.

The hydroponic cultivation unit includes a seedbed, a seedling of a plant to be cultivated being transplanted to the seedbed. The daylighting apparatus takes natural light through a daylighting port into a light emitting surface facing the seedbed, and emits the light from the light emitting surface toward the seedling. The artificial light application apparatus applies artificial light to the seedling. The daylighting sensor is provided at a position apart from the seedbed, and detects a light amount of the natural light emitted from the light emitting surface.

A material for a shadow mask of the present invention is formed of a casting slab for preparing the shadow mask which comprises an Ni—Fe alloy containing 30 to 45% of Ni. The casting slab has a cast structure comprising a columnar crystal and/or a chill crystal in an amount of 99% or more. In particular, it is preferred that the casting slab contains no equiaxed crystal.
