    Abstract: A fuel injection system for use with an internal combustion engine supplies fuel to an injector (fuel injection valve) from a common rail (accumulator) through a high-pressure pipe to spray the fuel from a spray hole formed in the injector. A thin-walled portion is formed in a path member (e.g., an injector body, the high-pressure pipe, or a connector connecting the injector and the high-pressure pipe) and defined by a locally thin wall of the path member. A strain gauge (strain sensor) is affixed to the thin-walled portion to measure strain of the thin-walled portion arising from the pressure of fuel in a high-pressure fuel path.

    Abstract: In a fuel injector, a body has formed therein a spray hole and a fuel supply passage. Fuel supplied to the fuel supply passage is delivered to the spray hole. A fuel pressure sensor produces a signal indicative of a pressure of the fuel. First terminals are attached to the fuel pressure sensor and include a terminal for outputting the signal. The fuel pressure sensor is threadedly installed in the body while the first terminals are rotated. A connector includes a housing attached to the body, and second terminals supported by the housing for external electric connection of the fuel pressure sensor. Wires are operative to establish electrical connection between the first terminals and the second terminals. A wire holder is configured to hold each of the plurality of wires at least partly around the fuel pressure sensor.

The rotation shaft includes a groove passage that communicates with the suction passages. Further, the rotation shaft includes an annular groove that communicates the communication conduit with the groove passage. The annular groove includes a front side surface, which is spaced toward the rear housing from an opening of the rotary shaft accommodation bore that faces the front housing.

A front rotary valve is provided on a rotating shaft in which a lead-in groove is formed. The lead-in groove allows the intake-chamber communication path and the front-bore communication path to communicate in the stated order, while the lead-in groove rotates integrally with the rotating shaft. In the compact swash-plate-type compressor any decrease in pulsation or intake efficiency is minimized.

    Abstract: An injector having an injector body, in which a housing opening and a communication hale are provided, includes a supporting member fixed to an actuator, which includes a lead-wire supporting portion that supports ends of lead wires and a plate portion formed integrally with the lead-wire supporting portion. A thickness of the plate portion is smaller than that of the lead-wire supporting portion, and multiple trench portions are provided on a surface of the plate portion so that the plate portion can be easily bent. While the supporting member passes through the housing opening, the lead wires straight move. After an end portion of the supporting member contacts the communication hole, external force is applied to the end portion to bend the plate portion, and thereby the lead wires are bent while moving in the communication hole.
