    Abstract: A rocker type propulsion mechanism for a boat includes a rocker arm pivotally provided on the boat, a lever arm being laterally connected to the rocker arm for rockably actuating the rocker arm, a paddle being pivoted on an other end of the rocker arm, and a blocking device being provided beside the paddle for limiting a rotation of the paddle. A rotation of the rocker arm causes the paddle to make a relative movement with water in order to propel the boat.
