The apparatus includes: a display; a communicator configured to communicate with an external device that provides predetermined original content; a content processor configured to implement and process the original content provided from the external device through the communicator in order to display an image on the display; and a controller configured to edit the original content by a user and to generate edited content independent of the original content, instead of updating an edition result directly to the original content.
