    Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that determines an occupation for a member of a social networking site based on information obtained from a profile of that member. The obtained information may include employment information, such as a job title, skills that the member has identified as possessing, endorsements by other members of the identified skills, and information about the endorsers of the endorsements. The disclosed systems and methods may determine one or more probabilities for various occupations that the member may have, and may further adjust those probabilities based on the obtained information. The systems and methods may additionally provide a list of members that have a given occupation based on the corresponding occupation probability of the given occupation. The systems and methods may also provide a list of organizations (i.e., employers) where it was determined that it was unlikely that the organization has any members with the given occupation.
