  • Patent number: 5149999
Abstract: A power tool includes an internal wiring structure having a first terminal board secured to a commutator motor stator and a second terminal board releasably engaged with the first terminal board to electrically connect terminals on the first and second terminal board. The second terminal board includes first and second conductive resilient brush terminals respectively resiliently engaged with first and second conductive brush holders when the stator is installed in a housing of the power tool. Internal wiring of the power tool is thereby automatically completed upon installation of the stator in the housing.

  • Patent number: 5121545
Abstract: An electric circular saw of the type including a mechanism for tilting a base relative to the plane of a blade is provided wherein a side knob for being gripped by the user during cutting operation pivotally connects the base and a body of the circular saw through a base attachment portion and a bevel plate having an arcuate guide groove extending through an angular distance corresponding to a tilt angle of the base relative to the blade. The side knob is threaded to the base attachment portion and movable together with the base when the base is tilted. The side knob is spaced from a guide surface of the base by a distance at least larger than a maximum radius of the side knob. The distance between the base and the side knob is constant regardless of the relative angular position of said base and the blade, so that circular saw can be held stably and hence is capable of performing an accurate cutting operation.

  • Patent number: 5056209
Abstract: A process for manufacturing clad metal tubing from two different types of metals having different deformation resistances is disclosed. The process comprises preparing a combined billet having two blank pipes arranged concentrically with each other, the pipes being made of different metals, and applying hot extrusion to the billet while adjusting the heating temperature of the pipe such that a pipe of the metal having a higher deformation resistance is heated to a higher temperature.

  • Patent number: 4723184
Abstract: A gear driving mechanism for driving a power cam, etc. for a tape recorder, in which a power cam driving working elements by its normal rotation is driven by a motor and the rotation direction of the motor is reversed for the purpose of loading, eject, etc. The mechanism is so constructed that a pivoting gear pivoting depending on the rotation direction of the motor is disposed at the motor side; a normal and a reverse rotation gear engaging with each other is disposed at the gear side; the pivoting gear at the motor side is engaged with one of the normal and the reverse rotation gear when the motor rotates in the normal direction, and with the other when it is pivoted by the reverse of the rotation of the motor.

  • Patent number: 4688122
Abstract: A loading and ejection mechanism in a tape player includes a link mechanism which transmits a motor power to a tape pack transport mechanism to drive same for loading or ejection of a tape cassette. The link mechanism includes at least one resilient connection member which normally maintains a power transmitting relationship of the link mechanism and a connection releasable arrangement which releases the power transmitting relationship of the link mechanism against the energy of the resilient connection member when an excessive load is applied to and locks the mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4672478
Abstract: A loading and ejection mechanism includes an inversion gear rotated by a motor in the opposite directions, an eject plate having a rack engageable with the inversion gear, and a mechanism to bring the rack into engagement with the inversion gear, so that the eject plate is moved back and forth by rotation of the inversion gear during loading and ejection so as to move a pack guide up and down and move an eject arm back and forth.
