  • Patent number: 7949230
Abstract: An electronic equipment device that includes a storage section storing data for creating a menu screen. A metadata acquisition section acquires metadata for displaying a menu item for operating external equipment, from the external equipment. The metadata having data for defining a type of the menu item and transition of a menu focus. A remote commander operation detection section detects operation performed on a remote commander. A menu screen generation processing section adds the menu item based on the metadata to the menu screen, for assembly; and a notification processing section notifies the external equipment of the menu item selected on the menu screen.

  • Publication number: 20070097269
Abstract: There is provided electronic equipment including a storage section storing data for creating a menu screen; a metadata acquisition section acquiring metadata for displaying a menu item for operating external equipment, from the external equipment, the metadata having data for defining at least a type of the menu item and transition of a menu focus; a remote commander operation detection section detecting operation performed on a remote commander; a menu screen generation processing section adding the menu item based on the metadata to the menu screen, for assembly; and a notification processing section notifying the external equipment of the menu item selected on the menu screen, on the basis of a detection result of the remote commander operation detection section. The menu screen generation processing section makes the menu focus transit on the basis of the metadata and the detection result of the remote commander operation detection section.

  • Patent number: 7079144
Abstract: A user gives, as input, two curves at a start time and at an end time and reference correspondence points with respect to the respective curves. Then, a pursuit operation of pursuing a reference correspondence point is carried out with respect to picture images successive in the time axis direction. As a result, positions of reference correspondence points at respective intermediate stages can be determined. Then, interpolation of the shape is carried out. Then, the determined interpolated shape is deformed in correspondence with the determined reference correspondence point. Accordingly, even in the case where a contour shape does not linearly move, it is possible to precisely pursue correspondence points on the contour. Thus, a contour shape with higher precision can be prepared.

  • Patent number: 6873344
Abstract: A system for processing images, or clips, as, for example, in a movie or video post production system. The clips are associated with a flowgraph representation that visually depicts all of the operations used to generate the clips. Correspondence between the image and flowgraph representations is tightly maintained so that the user can conveniently switch between, and work among, the different representations. Efficient user interface mechanisms are provided to work with flowgraph items to construct nodes representing operations. Nodes can be joined in an automated, or assisted, manner. Flowgraphs can be automatically generated according to user inputs in other parts of the system. For example, layered effects can have flowgraphs that are automatically generated. A freehand drawing timing capture tool is provided. All operations that contribute to a single (or more) pixel's value can be listed and selectively activated or deactivated to detect a problem.

  • Patent number: 6295086
Abstract: To capture digital moving image information supplied from a digital VTR and to generate high quality still image data files, a programmable controller executes program instructions to determine whether an image capturing operation has been activated and to determine whether the extracted frame is valid/appropriate. If so, a header is appended, based on various video transmission standards such as NTSC or PAL, to the extracted frame data, thereby generating an image file. The frame data following this header is then recorded to the recording medium, such as a disk, for subsequent signal processing by the programmable controller.

  • Patent number: 6157410
Abstract: To display an image based on image file data generated from moving images, the number of pixels is changed in the horizontal or vertical direction of a display screen by a signal processing operation. Various television broadcast standards and display modes are supported. For example, in the NTSC system, a signal processing operation subjects frame data (720 by 480 pixels) to 8:9 pixel count conversion for converting the number of pixels in the horizontal direction from 720 to 640. An image based on the image file data (i.e., still picture) is therefore displayed on the computer screen with the correct aspect ratio.
