  • Patent number: 4973540
Abstract: This invention relates to a developer for developing electrostatic latent images formed on an electrostatic latent image carrier, which comprises a toner including;a resin,a colorant, andan inorganic fine particle with at least both a negatively chargeable polar group and a positively chargeable polar group on the surface of the inorganic fine particle.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 31, 1989
Date of Patent: November 27, 1990
    Assignee: Minolta Camera Kabushiki Kaisha
Inventors: Junji Machida, Masashi Yamamoto, Ichiro Demizu, Kouichi Etou
  • Patent number: 4968577
Abstract: The present invention provides a capsule toner having many wrinkles or hollows and upheavals and containing liquid in a shell, which is useful for toner for pressure fixation.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 18, 1989
Date of Patent: November 6, 1990
    Assignee: Minolta Camera Kabushiki Kaisha
Inventors: Toshitaro Kohri, Junji Machida, Masahiro Anno
  • Patent number: 4868082
Abstract: The present invention relates binder type carriers, the surface of which is firmly adhered with charge controlling agents, by which the elastic charge of the carriers can be controlled to a desirable polarity and a level without the influence of the chargeability inherent to the magnetic powders themselves.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 27, 1988
Date of Patent: September 19, 1989
    Assignee: Minolta Camera Kabushiki Kaisha
    Inventors: Toshitaro Kohri, Junji Machida
  • Patent number: 4861693
Abstract: This invention relates to carriers for electrophotography comprising a binder component including a binder resin, a polymeric-magnetic coordination complex, and an inorganic magnetic material dispersed in the binder component at the ratio of 100-900 parts by weight to 100 parts by weight of the binder component, which effect the electrical resistance as well as magnetic properties. Carriers of the invention are suitable, in particular, for a copier furnished with a high rotation developing sleeve.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 19, 1988
Date of Patent: August 29, 1989
    Assignee: Minolta Camera Kabushiki Kaisha
Inventors: Junji Ohtani, Junji Machida, Eiichi Sano, Fumio Masuda
  • Patent number: 4822708
Abstract: The present invention provides a carrier coated by a polymer particle layer containing fine magnetic particles around a magnetic core, which may contain an electrical charge controlling agent, and the core may be pre-treated with a coupling reagent; the carrier gives excellent clearness to the copy and durability at repeating use.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 29, 1987
Date of Patent: April 18, 1989
    Assignee: Minolta Camera Kabushiki Kaisha
Inventors: Junji Machida, Junji Ohtani, Eiichi Sano, Masahiro Anno, Toshitaro Kohri, Yukio Tanigami, Makoto Kobayashi
  • Patent number: 4623605
Abstract: A dry developer for developing electrostatic latent images comprises a positive charge type carrier and a negative charge type toner. The negative charge type toner includes, as after-treating agents, fine particles of hydrophobic silica in an amount of 0.05-1.0 percent by weight relative to the toner and fine particles of hydrophobic titanium oxide in an amount of 0.1-3.0 percent by weight relative to the toner, the fine particles of hydrophobic silica and the fine particles of hydrophobic titanium oxide being contained in a weight ratio of 1:5 to 1:1.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 18, 1984
Date of Patent: November 18, 1986
    Assignee: Minolta Camera Kabushiki Kaisha
Inventors: Hitoshi Kato, Toshitaro Kohri, Junji Machida
