  • Patent number: 8389000
Abstract: Disclosed is an adhesive skin patch having an SIS block copolymer as an adhesive component, which has an improved handling property and can reduce irritation to a user. The adhesive skin patch comprises a flexible substrate and an adhesive layer laminated on the substrate, wherein the adhesive layer comprises a styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer. In the adhesive skin patch, the tan ? value of the adhesive agent as determined by measuring a dynamic viscoelasticity at 32° C. satisfies a requirement represented by the following formula 1 at at least one frequency laying between 0.04 to 0.25 Hz. 0.25x+0.05?y?0.25x+0.10 (formula 1) [wherein x represents a frequency (Hz); and y represents a tan ? value.

  • Publication number: 20120178788
Abstract: Disclosed are a pharmaceutical composition for external application, an adhesive skin patch and others which are improved in a drug release property, transdermal absorbability and stability of a pharmacologically active ingredient contained therein and can reduce the aggravation of irritation to the skin. Specifically disclosed is an adhesive skin patch comprising a support and an adhesive layer laminated on the support, wherein the adhesive layer contains a pharmaceutical composition for external application. The pharmaceutical composition for external application comprises a pharmacologically active ingredient, an auxiliary component and a pyrrolidone compound, wherein one of the pharmacologically active ingredient and the auxiliary component has a carboxylate group in the molecule and the other has a hydroxy group in the molecule. Preferably, the adhesive layer further comprises a hydrogenated oil.

  • Patent number: 7820972
Abstract: Methods of determining at least one of the degree of skin damage caused by UV light and the degree of physiologically aging of the skin, and methods of estimating at least one of an epidermal skin thickness and a dermal skin thickness by analysis of the near infrared absorption spectrum of skin are disclosed. The near infrared absorption spectrum of skin are analyzed and the obtained analysis result is used for monitoring skin conditions and evaluating cosmetics.
