  • Patent number: 4660879
Abstract: An air spoiler apparatus with solar cells includes an air spoiler wing mounted on an outer surface of a vehicle body, solar cells mounted on an upper surface of the air spoiler wing, a running detector for detecting a running state of a vehicle, and an elevation angle adjustment unit of the air spoiler wing. The air spoiler elevation angle adjustment unit adjusts an elevation angle of the air spoiler wing within select angular ranges to increase power generation efficiency of the solar cells during parking, stopping, low-speed or high speed running represented by the running state detected by the running detector. During high speed operation the angular range is restricted to an optimum range for aerodynamic efficiency.

  • Patent number: 4454849
Abstract: A canister to be used in the fuel supplying system of an internal combustion engine of a vehicle, is disclosed. The canister is provided with a fuel vapors guiding pipe for guiding the fuel vapors from a fuel vapors inlet port into a bed of adsorbent material accomodated within a housing, and a deflector for deflecting the flow of fuel vapors guided by the guiding pipe so as to be dispersed throughout the bed. The deflector is formed of air-permeable material having a flowing resistance slightly larger than that of the bed into a frusto-conical plate. According to the present invention, one part of the fuel vapors flowing into the bed through the guiding pipe in the fuel vapors adsorbing process flows along the upper surface of the deflector in the direction of the upper portion of the bed and another part of the fuel vapors flows through the deflector in the direction of the lower portion of the bed.

  • Patent number: 4051652
Abstract: Method for packaging in a carton full size yarn packages by a yarn producing machine provided with a plurality of yarn package producing units. A predetermined number of full size yarn packages are firstly doffed from the corresponding spindles of the yarn producing machine at once by means of the bobbins chucks which are displaceable as one group, and each doffed yarn package is wrapped separately by a film bag while holding by the corresponding bobbin chuck. Next the yarn packages wrapped with the corresponding film bags are deposited at once into a space of a carton by displacing the bobbin chucks, and after releasing the gripping of the yarn packages by the respective bobbin chucks, these bobbin chucks are displaced to their standby positions.
