  • Patent number: 4883413
Abstract: In a rotary-piston displacement machine, to seal the flat sealing planes between the end faces of the displacement body (5), executing a circular motion, and the side faces (20) of the stationary housing (7) which run parallel thereto, the end faces of the displacement body (5) are provided with a groove (13) in which an elastic sealing strip (14) made of slideable material is inserted. The sealing strip is pressed by a silicone tube (15) against the side wall (20).

  • Patent number: 4861244
Abstract: In a displacement machine for compressible media on the spiral principle, the rotor disk (2) terminates radially flush with the displacement strips (3, 3'). So that the disk (2) can pass through the housing, in the inlet region (12, 12') of the machine the inner web (18, 18') of one housing half (7) is lowered by the amount of the disk thickness. To prevent leaks during the operation of the machine, the transition (19, 19') between the raised web (17, 17') and the lowered web (18, 18') is made circular. The rounding cooperates with a clearance (20, 20') in the form of an arc of a circle in the disk (2). Machines of this type are especially suitable for the supercharging of internal-combustion engines.

  • Patent number: 4571154
Abstract: A device for adjusting the turbine inlet flow cross-section of an exhaust gas turbocharger, wherein an adjustment element is suspended in two annular linkage levers which are located concentric to the turbine axis. The lever arm (R.sub.1) of the first annular linkage lever nearer to the turbine is longer than that (R.sub.2) of the second annular linkage lever. This produces a trapezoidal four bar linkage located in a plane including the turbine axis. The lengths of the lever arms (R.sub.1, R.sub.2), the distance between them (C) and the distance (D) between the first annular linkage lever and the point to be sealed of the adjustment element are so matched that a minimum deviation of the path of the adjustment element from translatory straight line movement of the latter is attained. The annular linkage levers and the adjustment element are preferably located in the pressure space of a pressure casing (5).
