  • Patent number: 8058881
Abstract: In order to make it possible to detect a fault location, safely, reliably and with a high response sensitivity, in a braided wire which has a plurality of individual wires, an electric current is passed through the braided wire and the magnetic field which is formed as a result of the braided wire through which current flows is detected by a sensor and is evaluated. A fault location is deduced if the measured magnetic field has an oscillation whose length is a multiple of a lay length of the braided wire, and in particular corresponds to the lay length. The method is also used in particular for non-destructive testing of the quality of a contact connection of a contact element to the braided wire.

  • Patent number: 8043108
Abstract: A high voltage plug-connector for the detachable electric connection of high voltage components, particularly an electric drive system of a motor vehicle, has a plug with electric power contacts, a socket with a mating contacts for mating with the power contacts, and a signal plug that interacts with signal contacts for activating the high voltage. The signal plug locks the plug and the socket mechanically in their plug-in position. The mechanical plug-connector has a pre-latching position in which the signal plug is guided to a releasing position and the electric contact between the power contacts and mating contacts can be released. The mechanical lock is released only when the electric contact between the power contacts and the mating contacts is opened and the signal plug is guided to a cover position in which the signal plug covers the power contacts.

  • Patent number: 6733309
Abstract: A device for connecting electrical conductors such as flat-band lines, printed circuits or the like, in which pressure media are provided to increase contact reliability, and after mounting thereof, said media ensure that the contact areas of at least two electrical conductors are deformed. The best possible contact area is created by the deformation.

  • Publication number: 20030176095
Abstract: A device for connecting electrical conductors such as flat-band lines, printed circuits or the like, in which pressure media are provided to increase contact reliability, and after mounting thereof, said media ensure that the contact areas of at least two electrical conductors are plastically deformed. The best possible contact area is created by the plastic deformation.

  • Patent number: 6564450
Abstract: In a printed circuit board pair, each of the printed circuit boards having a contact region with contact elements, a contact-making system includes a first circuit board having three-dimensionally structured contact elements and a second circuit board also having three-dimensionally structured contact elements structured complementarily with respect to the contact elements of the first circuit board for positioning the two boards together. The contact elements of the first board reciprocally electrically contact the contact elements of the second board. The configuration ensures a high positioning accuracy of the two contact regions with respect to one another. A mask having cutouts for contact elements of the two boards can be provided. Such contact element positioning using the conductor track pattern and being independent of a contact-making housing has the advantage that the positioning accuracy is unaffected by tolerances between the conductor track pattern and the contact-making housing.

  • Patent number: 6431881
Abstract: An electrical connector includes a connector housing formed of a connector body carrying contact pins and a fixing part. A receiving gap for a foil conductor is formed between the connector body and the fixing part. At least some of the contact pins carry at least one contact element protruding into the receiving gap to make contact with a conductor track of the foil conductor. The fixing part is in the form of a sleeve and receives at least one longitudinal portion of the connector body, in an assembled state. The receiving gap, which is formed by an inner surface of the fixing part and a peripheral surface of the connector body, at least partially encloses the connector body.

  • Publication number: 20010037561
Abstract: In order, in the context of making contact between two printed circuit boards (2, 4), to ensure a high positioning accuracy of their two contact regions (8) with respect to one another, the two contact regions (8) are three-dimensionally structured complementarily with respect to one another. A mask (12) having cutouts (14) for contact elements (10) of the two printed circuit boards (2, 4) is preferably provided. This positioning using the conductor track pattern and independently of a contact-making housing (26) has the advantage that the positioning accuracy is unaffected by tolerances between the conductor track pattern and the contact-making housing (26).
