  • Patent number: 5150976
Abstract: An electromagnetic drive mechanism for a pin in a matrix printing head has a first magnet with an articulated armature, wherein a free end of the armature acts on the pin and can be returned to a disengaaged position by a recovery mechanism. The recovery mechanism comprises another articulated-armature magnet with an armature identical with that of the first magnet but with a yoke mounted on a side of the armature that faces away from a yoke of the first magnet.

  • Patent number: 4988223
Abstract: In a matrix printing head having a plurality of printing wires, mounting the printing wires for sliding movement between a non-printing rest position and a printing position, a first electromagnet for driving each printing wire from the rest position to the printing position including an electromagnet comprising a yoke having a pole surface, a winding and a pivotable armature connected to each wire and having a pivot, the improvement comprising a second electromagnet for pulling the armature away from the pole surface and forming an armature stop to define the rest position and forming a gap between the armature and the pole surface, wherein each electromagnet comprises a structure composed of light metal and forming segmental recesses therein for receiving the yokes and windings and secured therein with a casting compound, wherein the light metal structure has one face in a plane and wherein the pole surfaces are in said plane, spacer members disposed between the face of the light metal structure and the arm

  • Patent number: 4504161
Abstract: Printing or recording apparatus for the selective printing of single sheets or margin-perforated endless paper in which for the endless paper operation a separate conveying unit can be put in place on the printer housing which unit is provided with conveying means engaging in the perforated margin of the endless paper. The sight case of the conveying unit is arranged over the feed opening as well as the delivery unit for the single sheets. A movable lid permits access to these openings for the single-sheet operation but covers these completely and in a soundproofing way for endless paper operation. Connected with the movable lid there is a prop which in the closed position of the lid automatically lifts off the platen the feed rolls not required in this operating state.

  • Patent number: 4497588
Abstract: Printing apparatus with a roller platen and a plastic strip for holding paper against the roller platen even if insufficient paper is fed through to reach the usual guide rollers. The plastic strip is arranged in a closed loop and is connected to the print element to move with it in the line direction. The strip has a perforation for the penetration of printing type or the like.

  • Patent number: 4468143
Abstract: Apparatus for guiding an ink ribbon for a printer, with top edges standing perpendicularly to and inclined forward toward the printing plane, over which the ink ribbon laid on flange plates which act as slides when fed further and threads in itself. At the same time means for the quick fixing of the print head are provided on the apparatus serving for the guiding of the ink ribbon.
