  • Patent number: 9278234
Abstract: This invention relates to encapsulated flavor and/or fragrance preparations and a method for producing same from a spray solution consisting of an aqueous solution of polymeric carriers and emulsified flavors and/or fragrances. The granules have an adjustable particle size of between 0.2 and 2 mm, present even size distribution and a globular shape and are further characterized by a high concentration and high retention of volatile flavors.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 6, 2007
Date of Patent: March 8, 2016
    Assignee: Symrise AG
Inventors: Birgit Schleifenbaum, Jens Uhlemann, Reinhard Boeck, Jurgen Hinderer

  • Publication number: 20060165742
Abstract: Novel pulverulent active substance formulations composed of at least one active substance which is solid at room temperature, at least one dispersant, polyvinyl alcohol and if desired, additives, the individual active substance particles being enveloped by a coat of polyvinyl alcohol, being present in the amorphous state, and having diameter in the nanometer range, a process for producing the novel formulations and their use for the application of the active substance they comprise and also a device for carrying out the production process.

  • Patent number: 6872820
Abstract: Finely divided polysacharide derivatives are described. The finely divided polysacharide derivatives are prepared by a process comprising: a) forming an aqueous composition comprising a polysaccharide derivative and water, in which the polysaccharide derivative is soaked or dissolved; b) converting the polysaccharide derivative of the aqueous composition into finely divided solid particles by, (i) contacting the aqueous composition with superheated water vapor in a dryer-pulverizer; or (ii) causing the polysaccharide derivative of the aqueous composition to flocculate; and c) optionally drying the finely divided solid particles of step b). The primary structures of the polysaccharide starting material are largely removed, and the product has a shape factor of less than 5 and greater than or equal to 1.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 1, 2001
Date of Patent: March 29, 2005
    Assignee: Wolff Walsrode AG
Inventors: Gunter Weber, Detmar Redeker, Bernd Klinksiek, Jürgen Hinderer, Benno Ulfik

  • Patent number: 6320043
Abstract: The invention relates to a new, particularly economic process for preparing pulverulent polysaccharide derivatives, in particular cellulose derivatives, having a thermal flocculation point; the process comprises soaking or dissolving the polysaccharide derivative in a solvent or mixed solvent, dividing/comminuting the soaked or dissolved polysaccharide derivative by thermal and/or mechanical liquid separation and an optional drying step.
