    Abstract: A double-flow hydraulic support element for a switchable finger lever of a valve train of an internal combustion engine is provided. A piston is arranged in an axial bore of the housing of the support element in an axially movable manner, and the piston includes a hollow cylindrical pressure part and a cup-shaped working part. A head of the pressure part is used as a support for the finger lever and projects beyond the housing edge, and an opening for the flow of a hydraulic medium is formed in the end face of the head. The housing has a first passage and a second passage axially spaced from the first passage for the hydraulic medium. The support element has a hydraulic play compensation device with a ball non-return valve for the finger lever.

    Abstract: A process for producing a hollow composite-fiber body from wound fibers, running in a plurality of directions and embedded in a curable or fusible plastics composition, having at least one lug integrated without any interruption into the fiber-composite and protruding from the hollow fiber-composite body. This process includes forming a plastics-impregnated and circumferentially continuously wound jacket by winding one layer over the other on a shaping core a plurality of layers of at least one prepreg web having web-bound, crossing groups of parallel-running fibers. The lug is shaped and secured by a support corresponding to a set-up lug shape and which protrudes during winding from the shaping core. Immediately after the running on of the prepreg web onto the shaping core or the wound body which is forming, into the prepreg web for each separate layer a lug free cut is made that corresponds to the position and contour of the respective lug.

    Abstract: A gas and fluid sealing connection and process for making same are disclosed for connecting between a synthetic resinous material/plastic material body and a metallic body which is embedded therein by flowing the synthetic material in a form under pressure. The metallic body has at least one circumferential groove at its outer side. At least one of the grooves disposed in the region of the plastic to be embedded there is disposed and carried an elastomeric ring which fills the groove in the axial direction and the groove is so shaped that the ring is left with an expansion gap space in the region of the groove bottom. Alternative embodiments dispense with the expansion gap space and utilize a ring which is formed out of closed pore elastomeric foam.
