  • Patent number: 9685942
Abstract: A circuit arrangement for the protection of at least one component of a two wire electrical current loop, which is connected in series with a burden to an AC/DC electrical current source. The two wire electrical current loop has a rectifier a clock signal producer and a switch. The rectifier forms a DC circuit, wherein the component is connected in the DC circuit and wherein the clock signal producer outputs a clock signal to the switch for clocking the DC circuit. The circuit arrangement has a diode, wherein the conduction direction of the diode points from the anode of the diode to the cathode of the diode. The cathode of the diode is connected to the DC circuit, and the anode of the diode is supplied with a periodic or constant voltage from a first voltage source, and the voltage is at least periodically greater than a predetermined threshold value.

  • Patent number: 9365971
Abstract: During the transverse-folding operation of items of laundry, a number of layers are positioned one above the other so as to overlap one another. In order to achieve optimum folding quality, the aim is for layers of equal length to overlap, which is only rarely possible in practice. It is usually the case that the layers are of unequal length, and this gives rise to a difference in overlap. The invention makes provision for the difference in overlap to be eliminated, or at least to be minimized, in that it is determined whether a difference in overlap is present and the difference in overlap which may be established is corrected for the transverse-folding operation of the next-following item of laundry, which allows established differences in overlap to be compensated for automatically at least for the most part.

  • Patent number: 6094040
Abstract: A voltage regulator circuit for generating a regulated output DC voltage from a non-regulated DC or AC voltage, comprises an input rectifier circuit for rectifying the non-regulated AC voltage and a series regulator, containing a gate-controllable transistor, which regulates the output voltage supplied to it by the rectifier to a first voltage value. The transistor of the series regulator is a field-effect transistor (20) which in the ON condition charges a charging capacitor (46), the charging voltage of which forms the regulated output voltage. Connected to the gate terminal (21) of the field-effect transistor is a first threshold circuit (26, 28, 30, 32) receiving the non-regulated DC voltage which applies to this gate terminal (21) a voltage turning OFF the field-effect transistor (20) as soon as the non-regulated DC voltage exceeds a predetermined threshold value.

  • Patent number: 6088083
Abstract: The invention is directed to an optical image recording arrangement of a three-dimensional object wherein an illuminating raster generator simultaneously generates a plurality of separate light spots in a first focal plane. The light spots in the first focal plane are imaged by optical elements into a second focal plane on the three-dimensional object. The image of the light spots is imaged by optical elements onto a first detector device having several detector elements. A displacing device is mounted in the beam path of the illuminating raster generator. The displacing device effects at least a two-axis position change of the first focal plane. The method of the invention determines the sharply imaged regions of a three-dimensional object in an optical image recording arrangement. An illuminating raster generator in the image recording arrangement simultaneously generates a plurality of separate light spots in a first focal plane.

  • Patent number: 5781355
Abstract: The invention is directed to a stress-free support which includes two parts 1 and 2 having different linear thermal expansion coefficients. One part can, for example, be a mirror support made of Zerodur and the second part can be an aluminum support structure. A compensating stress-free support with flexure joints (121 to 126, 211 to 213, 214 to 216) increases the stiffness with respect to tilting. The stress-free support has a low weight and a low structural elevation. The entire arrangement is planar.

  • Patent number: 5742225
Abstract: A transmitting station is connected to a receiving station by a two-wire line via which the supply current required for operating the transmitting station is transferred from the receiving station to the transmitting station. The transmitting station comprises a supply circuit including a voltage regulator for maintaining the operating voltage of the transmitting station constant and an energy store for compensating current and/or voltage fluctuations. Via the two-wire line a signal current, variable between two limit values, is further transferred from the transmitting station to the receiving station. This signal current consists of the supply current for the transmitting station and a supplementary current determined by the transmitting station. For transfer of the communication information between the transmitting station and the receiving station, a symmetrical communication current is superimposed on the signal current.

  • Patent number: 5251103
Abstract: A casing for holding electronic components and the like, is provided on each of its side walls facing away from one another with two fastening lugs which project laterally therefrom and are each provided with an opening for the passage of a screw, and which are associated with casing side edges corresponding to one another. The openings for the passage of a screw which are provided in fastening lugs lying opposite one another and associated with the same side wall of the casing are in each case free from overlap, in their projection, with the fastening lug lying opposite. The arrangement of the fastening lugs makes possible the installation of the casing in both right-hand and left-hand drive vehicles without being mounted with mirror inversion. This provides advantages, for example, when there is restricted space to accommodate the cable leading out of the casing.
