  • Patent number: 11991637
Abstract: In accordance with the example embodiments of the invention there is at least a method an apparatus to perform determining signaling comprising at least one wake-up signal to indicate an occurrence or a non-occurrence of a paging request associated with a next paging occasion of a network device; and sending the signaling comprising the at least one wake-up signal toward a network device in a communication network, wherein the at least one wake-up signal is to cause the network device to determine whether to leave at the next paging occasion an energy saving sleep mode to receive the paging request. Further, there is performing receiving by a network device in a communication network at least one wake-up signal to indicate an occurrence or a non-occurrence of a paging request, wherein the at least one wake-up signal is for use by the network device to determine whether to leave at its next paging occasion an energy saving sleep mode to receive the paging request.

  • Patent number: 4913850
Abstract: Iodine and organic iodine compounds which may be radioactive and which may be found in waste gases or vapors from nuclear reactors can be removed from such gases or vapors by passing the iodine or organic iodine compound-containing gases or vapors through a layer of binder-free silver-exchanged molecular sieve granulates of the faujasite type.

  • Patent number: 4725290
Abstract: For the purification of air or gas streams the air or gas is conducted across a multi-zone adsorption apparatus through which a particulate filter material is moved downwardly by gravity. The gas stream is first admitted to the adsorption apparatus adjacent the downstream end to a first stage having an upstream and a downstream zone and, upon leaving the first stage, is divided into partial streams which are conducted back through an upstream adsorption material stage such that the gas from the most downstream filter material zone of the first stage which still has the highest contaminant content is admitted to and passed through the most upstream filter material zone of an upstream second stage of the apparatus and the upstream zone gas or air from the first stage is admitted to the downstream zone of the first stage in order to provide for high decontamination efficiency and for similar end decontamination of all the gas or air passed through the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4590372
Abstract: Measuring arrangement for determining the concentration of gaseous radioiodine in a carrier gas, composed of a mass of sorption agent for separating the gaseous radioiodine from the carrier gas and for accumulating the separated radioiodine, with a part of the mass of sorption agent being located in a measuring region, a conduit for conducting the carrier gas to the sorption agent and provided with at least one outlet via which carrier gas can flow into the measuring region containing sorption agent, and a radiation detector disposed for detecting radiation emanating from the measuring region, with the sorption agent being movable relative to the conduit for bringing different portions of the mass of sorption material into the measuring region.

  • Patent number: 4263028
Abstract: A filter system is provided for purifying a gas stream by means of flowable or tricklable contact filter material, wherein the stream flows through the filter material and the filter material forms a movable bed. The system contains a filter chamber through which the filter material can flow and which is provided with an inlet opening and an outlet opening for the filter material between which the filter material is conveyed by gravity. The filter system includes deflection means for deflecting the stream, after a first passage of the stream through the filter bed to charge the filter bed for a first time, to a position above where the stream first passed through the filter bed and for conducting the stream at least once again transversely through the filter bed above the first charge so that the filter bed is charged a second time.
