  • Patent number: 11651921
Abstract: Electrical connectors are provided for electrically coupling two electrical components. Opposing ends of the connector are coupled to each of the electrical components. At the first end, the connector is disposed in an opening of the first electrical component to establish electrical connection. The first end includes multiple contact portions that are biased with a non-linear spring force against the sides of the opening.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 6, 2020
Date of Patent: May 16, 2023
    Assignee: ABB SCHWEIZ AG
Inventors: Steven Andrew Greenwald, Justin Daniel Dubrosky, Jamie Wakefield
  • Patent number: 11342729
Abstract: A power panel of an electrical distribution system including a bus stack with a plurality of conductive bars spaced from one another and a plurality of insulators, an electrical accessory is coupled to the plurality of bus bars, and each insulator includes a main body and a safety feature that extends from the main body. The safety features from adjacent insulators extend towards one another to define a gap sized to prevent insertion of a foreign object therein. The gap is further sized to permit insertion there through of a conductive component to establish an electrical connection between multiple bus bars and the electrical accessory.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 14, 2020
Date of Patent: May 24, 2022
    Assignee: ABB SCHWEIZ AG
Inventors: Shawn Couceiro Fonseca, Justin Daniel Dubrosky, Dennis James Rehmer
  • Patent number: 11303100
Abstract: An apparatus includes a circuit breaker and mounting bracketry fastened to the rear side of the circuit breaker. The mounting bracketry includes first and second spacer portions extending rearward from a respective locations inside the width of the circuit breaker unit, first and second fixation portions extending outward from the first and second spacer portions, respectively, to respective positions outside the width of the circuit breaker, and first and second hook portions extending rearward from the first and second fixation portions, respectively. The circuit breaker may be mounted to an electrical enclosure with the first hook portion and the second hook portion engaging a mounting rail of the electrical enclosure.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: April 12, 2022
    Assignee: ABB SCHWEIZ AG
Inventors: Justin Daniel Dubrosky, Louis Kenneth McLinden, III, Shawn Couceiro Fonseca
  • Patent number: 11289861
Abstract: A power panel of an electrical distribution system including a bus arrangement with a plurality of conductive bus bars. At least one electrical accessory is coupled to the plurality of bus bars and a plurality of clip assemblies are coupled to the plurality of bus bars and the at least one electrical assembly to establish an electrical connection there between. The clip assembly for use with the bus stack arrangement includes a metallic clip with a tang and a C-shaped section interconnected with and arranged opposite the tang and a biasing element coupled to the tang.
