Abstract: Various methods, systems and media for enhancing a resort hotel service using virtual reality are provided. A reservation for a hotel room with a designated room theme is acquired, and the hotel room reservation with the designated room theme is stored in a first database. Data relating to objects in the reserved hotel room and dimensions of the objects are extracted from a second database. Theme projection information corresponding to the designated room theme is extracted from a third database. A projection is displayed in the reserved hotel room using a projector and a three-dimensional modeling tool, based on the extracted data relating to the objects in the reserved hotel room, the dimensions of the objects, and the extracted theme projection information.

Abstract: A system for waste disposal monitoring using wearable recycling and cleaning monitors includes a plurality of user devices each associated with a unique identifier and each configured to be carried by a respective user. A smart waste receptacle includes a receptacle configured to hold a plurality of waste items, a reader configured to detect the unique identifier of one user device when the user carrying the user device deposits a waste item in the receptacle portion, and a communication interface configured to transmit a notification including the detected unique identifier of the one user device based on the user depositing the waste item in the receptacle. A processing system and incentive redemption location device can be used to issue incentive to users based on a quantity of waste deposited by each user.

Abstract: Methods and systems are presented that improve a radiologist's ability to identify polyps by automatically and more accurately detecting and displaying colonic residue such as tagged or untagged stool or colonic fluid in medical images of the colorectal region. A virtual colonography imaging system obtains medical imagery of the colon. Improved computer-aided detection (CAD) algorithms identify colonic residue in the imagery by calculating feature vectors of and using statistical classification methods to classify regions of colonic residue to distinguish them from false positives.

Abstract: The present invention relates to optimizing sound for a person based on his or her location and hearing profile. More particularly, the present invention relates to personalizing the sound of an event or performance by examining the technical specifications of an individual's hearing aid (which is provided by a third party) and the acoustics of an establishment. Using this information, a place of business alters the settings of each hearing aid device to optimize the sound for each individual.

Abstract: A data storage media including customized hearing training information is created using troublesome content identified based on testing of an individual's hearing profile. The identified content, and amplification factors associated with the hearing profile and corresponding to the identified content, are stored on the media. The individual can readily access the media, which can be portable, to generate sound output representative of the identified content without, and adjusted by, the corresponding amplification factor, such that the individual can train his brain on the identified troublesome content before receiving a hearing aid.

Abstract: The invention provides an extendable utility device including: a central housing; one or more extendable members attached to the central housing; one or more spirit vials (i.e., a level) embedded in the central housing; and one or more wall markers attached to the extendable members. The extendable members extend from and retract into the central housing, and the wall markers are individually positioned perpendicular to, and at the ends of each of the extendable members.
