  • Publication number: 20130162636
Abstract: An average value, minimum value, and maximum value data detecting unit detects an average value, a minimum value, and a maximum value in one frame of a red (R) signal. A difference value calculating unit calculates a difference value by subtracting the average value from the R signal. A processing unit estimates the average value to be a level of a background image occupying a large area of a screen, and generates a signal indicating a minimum value (concavity) at the average value and a maximum value (convexity) at the maximum or minimum value as a compensated object signal. An adding unit adds the compensated object signal to a composed image of basic depth models to generate depth estimation data for generating an image in a different viewpoint from a non-3D image, the image in the different viewpoint and the non-3D image constituting the pseudo 3D image.

  • Publication number: 20130089307
Abstract: Preset information that is preset for preset-recording that is an automatic recording mode for recording a broadcast program in accordance with the preset information is stored in a storage unit. Preset-recording identification information that identifies the preset information is also stored in the storage unit. A broadcast receiving unit receives a broadcast program in accordance with preset information that has been preset for preset-recording of the received broadcast program. Identification information is added to data of the received broadcast program and the data with the identification information is stored in a storage unit. When the identification information added to the stored data of the received broadcast is edited, preset-recording that has been set for the stored data of the received broadcast program is identified and preset-recording identification information that corresponds to the preset-recording is modified based on the edited identification information.

  • Publication number: 20130085839
Abstract: A mutually advertising system includes an ad distribution planning apparatus and ad indication systems possessed by respective business enterprises. Each of the ad indication systems plays back an ad distributed from the ad distribution planning apparatus. With respect to each of the business enterprises, an ad viewing amount is calculated from the number of viewers about the related ad indication system and a time range during which an ad is played back by the related ad indication system. The calculated ad viewing amount is converted into a conversion-result ad charge according to a prescribed rule. A combined ad charge is calculated from the conversion-result ad charge and a paid ad charge. The ad distribution planning apparatus sets distribution of an ad of each of the business enterprises to the ad indication systems on the basis of the calculated combined ad charge.

  • Publication number: 20130064299
Abstract: A provisional region dividing unit divides a block to be encoded into a plurality of provisional regions on a predetermined provisional boundary. A motion vector detecting unit detects a motion vector with respect to each provisional region. An actual region dividing•motion compensating unit generates a synthesized prediction block by generating a plurality of prediction blocks corresponding to the block to be encoded from a reference image by using the motion vector of each provisional region, deciding an actual boundary based on activities of the plurality of prediction blocks, and joining regions acquired by dividing the each prediction block on the actual boundary among the respective prediction blocks. A variable length encoding unit encodes a prediction difference block acquired by subtracting a synthesized prediction block from the block to be encoded, and the motion vector of each provisional region.

  • Publication number: 20130027405
Abstract: A mask information generator carries out the following processing: (1) defining lines which become respective sides of a polygon of which three or more points on a display screen designated by user's operation become vertices; (2) calculating a value of a coordinate in a vertical direction on each of the lines which has a value of a coordinate in a horizontal direction of each pixel designated by a counter which designates a coordinate of each pixel in an image signal based on a synchronization signal thereof; and (3) comparing a value of the coordinate designated by the counter in the vertical direction of each pixel with the calculated value of the coordinate on each of the lines, to determine whether or not each pixel in the image signal is included in a mask region which is a region within the polygon surrounded by the lines.

  • Publication number: 20130022123
Abstract: A motion vector detector detects a motion vector from a first reference image for a coding target block. A multiple reference image composition unit creates a composite reference block that a first reference block extracted from the first reference image using the motion vector has been composited with a predetermined region of at least one of other reference images. Setting the composite reference block as a prediction block, an entropy encoder encodes a prediction difference block that the prediction block has been subtracted from the coding target block.
