  • Publication number: 20120093333
Abstract: The present invention provides a spatially pre-processed target-to-jammer ratio weighted filter and a method thereof, which uses two microphones to receive audio signals. The audio signals are divided into a plurality of sinusoidal waves by a fast Fourier transform (FFT) module, and a beamformer uses the sinusoidal waves to generate beamformed signals. A reference generator generates at least one reference signal. The beamformed signals and reference signals are used to work out power spectral densities (PSD), and a target-to-jammer ratio (TJR) is worked out with the power spectral densities. TJR is used to determine whether a sound source exists. According to the determination result, a noise estimator is switched to eliminate noise from the beamformed signals and generate output signals. An inverse fast Fourier transform (IFFT) module recombines the output signals and then outputs the recombined signals.

  • Publication number: 20110090317
Abstract: A stereovision system is disclosed, which comprises: at least one diffractive optical element and an optical imaging device. Each of the diffractive optical element is used for allowing a first beam containing information relating to an object to pass through and thus transforming the same into a second beam containing information relating to the object. The optical imaging device is used for receiving the second beam so as to concentrate the energy thereof for forming an Mth-order diffraction image. By combining the aforesaid Mth-order diffraction image with another energy-concentrated Nth-order diffraction image, a series of images can be formed. Accordingly, by comparing the disparity between corresponding points in the series of images, the distance between the object and the diffractive optical element can be obtained. It is noted that the aforesaid M and N represent the order of diffraction.

  • Publication number: 20090310865
Abstract: A video surveillance system gets a first image from at least a video source, and extracts its image features. It embeds annotation information with at least the image features into the first image, and converts the embedded image into a second image without changing the image format. After having compressed and decompressed the second image, the system extracts the embedded information from the decompressed embedded stream to separate the image and the annotation information, thereby obtaining completely recovered annotation information after a recovery process and an image processing. Because the image format is not changed, the operations on the second image at the rear end of the system, such as compression and decompression, are not affected.
