    Abstract: A method for correcting pump model includes: obtaining a pump model for a pump, the pump model including a Q-P curve and a Q-H curve at each of a plurality of frequencies; at each frequency, determining a power error based on a zero-flow-rate power or an actual operating point of the pump under one of the frequencies; and determining a corrected pump model based on the pump model and the power error. The determination of the corrected pump model includes: at each frequency, determining a corrected Q-P curve to be the Q-P curve shifted by the power error; determining a Q-H-P surface based on the corrected Q-P curves and the Q-H curves at all the frequencies; at each frequency, determining a head error based on the surface and the power error; and at each frequency, determining a corrected Q-H curve to be the Q-H curve shifted by the head error.

    Abstract: The present invention provides system and method for three-dimensionally tracking micro particle motion wherein a dark-field condenser is configured to receive light field emitted from a light source and project the light field on a fluid sample having at least one particle thereby generating a scattered light field associated with the at least one particle, an objective lens is configured to receive the scattered light field, an image capturing unit coupled to the objective lens receives the scattered light field thereby generating at least one image of the fluid sample, and a controller is configured to couple to the image capturing unit for analyzing interference ring pattern corresponding to a specific particle in the at least one image and determining a tracking information associated with the specific particle along three-dimensional direction according to the size and center of the interference ring pattern.

    Abstract: A bi-directional continuous peristaltic micro-pump is described. The micro-pump comprises: a substrate, an actuating mechanism and a fluid channel. The actuating mechanism comprises: a first slanted membrane the thickness of which increases progressively from left to right, a first chamber formed between the first slanted membrane and the substrate; and a second slanted membrane, the thickness of which decreases progressively from left to right, the second slanted membrane being located to the first slanted membrane's right side and parallel to the first slanted membrane with a space between the two membranes, a second chamber formed between the second slanted membrane and the substrate. By inflating the first chamber and the second chamber, the first slanted membrane and the second slanted membrane generate a continuous sweeping motion to force the working fluid to flow.
