  • Patent number: 8267553
Abstract: The LED illuminant module for medical luminaires contains a circuit board capable of heat dissipation, an LED die package, a beam splitter, and a reflector. The LED die package is attached to the circuit board and is covered by the beam splitter, which in turn is pressed by and positioned along with the reflector. Central beams from the LED die package are collimated by the beam splitter to project forward. The side light beams are refracted by the beam splitter, intercepted by the reflector, and directed to a target coverage area along with the central light beams. • Patent number: 7979932
Abstract: An operating table includes a base, a support post standing on the base, and a bed. The bed has a head section, a back section, a hip section and a foot section. The back section and the foot section respectively connect with ends of the hip section through pivot joints and are pivotable relative to the hip section upward and downward. The foot section has a rear section and a front section connecting with each other, and is pivotable either upward to an angle of less than 135 degree with respect to the hip section. The rear section is detachable separately, and an angle of the front section with respect to the hip section is adjustable via a pivot joint. The foot section can be shortened to support downward weight of the patient reliably. Moreover, a surgeon can adjust angles between the patient's legs and hip easily during the operation.

  • Patent number: 7832528
Abstract: A brake mechanism is provided on one of four corners of a rectangular base of an operating table. Each brake mechanism has a cam fixed by a rotating shaft, an a hydraulic cylinder and a braking post. When braking, the hydraulic cylinder pushes the cam to rotate, and the cam abuts the braking post to press against the floor. Wheels on the base of the operating table depart upward a distance from the floor for braking. Detecting sheets are provided on the rotating shafts of two brake mechanisms which stand on the same sides. The detecting sheets match detectors to control action of the hydraulic cylinders.

  • Patent number: 7270149
Abstract: A rotary valve assembly has a valve body, a rotor and a plurality of guidance check valves. The valve body includes a valve seat longitudinally defining a bore through a center thereof. A plurality of valve oil passages and a main oil passage are respectively distributed radially around the bore. The rotor is movably received in the bore of the valve body. A plurality of guidance check valves is mounted in the valve oil passages. The rotor rotates to switch to a predetermined valve position by manual operation or electric power, where a predetermined oil supply path is precisely formed to supply oil to a predetermined valve communicating with a valve oil passage.

  • Patent number: 6909465
Abstract: A handle assembly with built-in video camera controlling a lamp lifting device for a surgical lamp by rotating some angles for adjusting the light's illumination zone, when focused on a planar surface. The handle assembly has a stationary disk which separates the video camera from a rotation device for the handle, so that the rotation of the handle for adjusting an illumination zone will not affect video camera picture shooting angle. The handle further has a gear set and belt located inside for transmitting the rotation of the handle to the lamp bracket lifting device for adjusting the light's illumination zone without moving the video camera shooting angle. In order to prevent the rotation of the handle from affecting the adjustment of the picture angle of the video camera, the stationary disk has a rotary inner ring for mounting the video camera and a stationary outer ring for engaging with the rotation device of the handle.

  • Publication number: 20050052875
Abstract: A lift adjusting module is located in a surgical operation lamp and includes a plurality of latch elements to movably latch on petal sections of a brake piece. The brake piece runs through a rotary member and a rotary shaft. When a handle receives force, the rotary member drives the rotary shaft and moves a lamp seat axially to control the projection focus scope of the operation lamp. In the mean time, the latch elements are compressed and selectively embedded in the rotary member to effectively prevent the operation lamp from wearing and being damaged due to improper force. Thus surgical operation safety may be enhanced and the service life of the operation lamp can be increased.

  • Publication number: 20020181237
Abstract: A reflector can be applicable to an operation lamp for providing light beams from a bulb through different paths and focusing along a centerline to an illuminated patch to provide a shadowless lighting. The reflector is composed of a plurality of three-dimensional curvy reflecting strips connected with one another circularly around the centerline of the lamp. The cross sections taken perpendicularly to the centerline are polygons. The sides of the polygon can be curves. The vertical sections taken along the centerline are symmetric continuous curves each composed of two to five curve portions linked together. Each curve portion is a high order mathematical function with multiple factors. The curve portions can provide light beams through different paths to the illuminated patch.

  • Publication number: 20020145885
Abstract: A method of setting adjusting displacement for surgical light illuminating field comprises the steps of: (a) setting an illumination plane below the surgical light head for a selected distance; (b) setting a first height of the filament such that the light emitting from the filament will be reflected by the reflector of the surgical light and projected onto the illumination plane to form a minimum illuminating field; and (c) setting a second height of the filament to enable light passing over the upper rim of the lamp cup and projecting to the lowest position of the housing of the surgical light head (or between the lowest effective reflection point of the reflector and the lowest position of the housing of the surgical light head).
