  • Publication number: 20240134921
Abstract: A user of a network-based system may correspond to a user profile that describes the user. The user profile may describe the user using one or more descriptors of items that correspond to the user (e.g., items owned by the user, items liked by the user, or items rated by the user). In some situations, such a user profile may be characterized as a “taste profile” that describes an array or distribution of one or more tastes, preferences, or habits of the user. Accordingly, the user profile machine within the network-based system may generate the user profile by accessing descriptors of items that correspond to the user, clustering one or more of the descriptors, and generating the user profile based on one or more clusters of the descriptors.

  • Publication number: 20240109193
Abstract: A method includes, during a processing cycle: navigating the sanding head across a region of a workpiece according to a toolpath; and, based on a sequence of force values output by a force sensor coupled to the sanding head, deviating the sanding head from the toolpath to maintain forces of the sanding head on the workpiece region proximal a target force. The method also includes: detecting a sequence of positions of the sanding head traversing the workpiece region; interpreting a surface contour in the workpiece region based on the sequence of positions; detecting a difference between the surface contour and a corresponding target surface defined in a target model of the workpiece; generating a second toolpath for the workpiece region based on the difference; and, during a second processing cycle, navigating the sanding head across the workpiece region according to the second toolpath to reduce the difference.

  • Patent number: 11914539
Abstract: An input switching circuit dynamically connects, based on an input mapping table, input streams to inputs of a wavefront pre-transform circuit. An output switching circuit dynamically connects, based on an output mapping table, output data at outputs of the wavefront pre-transform circuit to transport streams. A controller controls, based on a wiping command, at least one of the input and output switching circuits to alter at least one of the input and output mapping tables such that the at least one of the input and output switching circuits is disabled for connection. A first subset of the transport streams operates in a foreground mode available to a user and is transported for storage in remote storage sites at a network and a second subset of the transport streams operates in a background mode available to an administrator and is not transported for storage in the remote storage sites.

  • Patent number: 11887575
Abstract: A system for generating and injecting acoustic interference signals to mitigate undesired acoustic noise over a target zone. M pickup sensors pick up acoustic noise signals from one or more noise sources in real time and generate M noise signals, M>1. A beam forming network includes M acoustic beam forming modules to process the M noise signals respectively and generate N acoustic interference signals. N acoustic injectors condition, amplify and inject the N acoustic interference signals over the target zone, N>1. Each of the M acoustic beam forming modules includes a 1-to-N distribution network to transform a respective one of the M noise signals into N signals, and N finite-impulse-response filters to perform amplitude and phase weighting on the respective N signals and generate N intermediate signals which are combined respectively with corresponding intermediate signals generated by remaining M?1 acoustic beam forming modules to generate the N acoustic interference signals.

  • Publication number: 20240000379
Abstract: A tissue hydration monitor and method includes a sensor module having a plurality of LEDs positioned to emit a plurality of different wavelengths of light toward the user's skin and a detector that detects light transmitted and reflected through the user's skin to generate signals corresponding to an intensity of detected light at each of the different wavelengths. A processor/controller module generates a baseline hydration level based on the received signals, calculates a relative hydration level, and generates an output indicative of relative hydration personalized to the user. • Publication number: 20230334006
Abstract: A compute near memory (CNM) convolution accelerator enables a convolutional neural network (CNN) to use dedicated acceleration to achieve efficient in-place convolution operations with less impact on memory and energy consumption. A 2D convolution operation is reformulated as 1D row-wise convolution. The 1D row-wise convolution enables the CNM convolution accelerator to process input activations row-by-row, while using the weights one-by-one. Lightweight access circuits provide the ability to stream both weights and input rows as vectors to MAC units, which in turn enables modules of the CNM convolution accelerator to implement convolution for both [1×1] and chosen [n×n] sized filters.
