Patent number: 10433414Abstract: A method of manufacturing a printed circuit board includes providing a substrate having at least one resin plate and a semi-cured sheet. A through hole is formed in the substrate to accommodate a radiator having an electrically conductive layer and an electrically insulated layer. The substrate and radiator are heat pressed to fully cure the epoxy and couple the substrate and radiator together. The excess resin is removed and electrically conductive layers are plated on the board. Surface circuits and a heat dissipating pattern are then etched into the conductive layer. An LED is attached to the printed circuit board. In some embodiments, a flexible segment is formed by removing a portion of the substrate. The radiator can have an electrically insulated layer extending at least partially across a surface of an electrically insulated and thermally conductive core.Type: GrantFiled: September 22, 2015Date of Patent: October 1, 2019Assignee: Rayben Technologies (HK) LimitedInventors: Kai Chiu Wu, Lam Wai Kin Raymond, Zheng Wang

Patent number: 9134012Abstract: This invention discloses a lighting device for omnidirectional light emission with efficient heat dissipation. In one embodiment, a lighting device comprises lighting modules circumferentially arranged such that generation of the omnidirectional light is allowable, and a supporting unit attached to each lighting module's heat-dissipating side for providing mechanical support. A space formed by minimally enclosing all the lighting modules includes a first polar opening, a second polar opening opposite thereto, and a ventilation channel between the two polar openings for enabling air flowing through the ventilation channel to carry away at least part of heat obtained from the heat-dissipating sides of the lighting modules to outside said space. A line-of-sight path between the two polar openings is identifiable, allowing a direct flow of air that advances through the ventilation channel between the two polar openings to be realizable, thereby promoting the carrying away of heat to outside said space.Type: GrantFiled: August 22, 2013Date of Patent: September 15, 2015Assignee: Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute Company LimitedInventor: Kai Chiu Wu
