  • Patent number: 11292745
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for the surface treatment of a polyester fiber, a modified polyester fiber obtained therefrom, and an engineered cementitious composite containing such modified polyester fibers. The method comprises subjecting the polyester fiber to an alkali hydrolysis to obtain hydrolyzed polyester fiber; applying a solution containing an acid cross-linker and a polyvinyl alcohol to the hydrolyzed polyester fiber, then curing to form a coating having a thickness of sub-micron or micron scale on the polyester fiber, thereby obtaining the modified polyester fiber.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 8, 2020
Date of Patent: April 5, 2022
Assignee: Hip Hing Construction Technology Limited
Inventors: Kai-Mo Ng, Honggang Zhu, Christopher Kin Ying Leung, Pengyu Chen, Kwok Leung So

  • Publication number: 20150050178
Abstract: A soft magnetic composite (SMC) material is formed from atomized ferromagnetic particles. The particles of a predetermined size range are formed and are coated with at least one layer of electrically insulating nano-sized inorganic fillers to form insulated ferromagnetic powder as the SMC material. The particles are further coated with a lubricating agent to facilitated demoulding.
