    Abstract: An image controller is provided which comprises a switching unit configured to change image data objects on the screen of a monitor in the following steps. The switching unit first assigns priorities to image data objects for display on the screen. The switching unit next compares the priorities between a first image data object during display on the screen and a second image data object to be next displayed thereon, and determine a length of switching time depending on the result of comparison. The switching unit then changes each display form (i.e., size, position, format, display time, transparency, or level of layers) of the first and second image data objects on the screen continuously or stepwise during the switching time.
