    Abstract: Various embodiments include methods of reinforcing apertures in turbomachine combustors, and related combustors. In various particular embodiments, a method of reinforcing an existing turbomachine combustor aperture includes: broaching the existing aperture to modify an initial profile of the existing aperture and form a modified profile, where the modified profile protrudes radially outwardly from an outer surface of the turbomachine combustor; and welding a combustor ring along an inner surface of the modified profile, where the modified profile enhances bonding between the existing aperture and the combustor ring.

    Abstract: An alignment and measuring tool for turbomachine combustor includes a support member configured and disposed to operatively connect to a combustor casing mounting element having an opening, and an indexing element connected to the support member. The indexing element includes an opening provided with a first recess zone and a second recess zone. A ferrule including an opening is configured and disposed to be positioned across a combustion liner opening. A cap member is supported upon the support member and arranged within the opening of the indexing element. A rod is arranged in the cap member and extends from a first end to a second end through an intermediate portion. The rod includes an adjustable cone member slidingly mounted upon the intermediate portion. The adjustable cones is configured and disposed to nest in the combustor liner opening.

    Abstract: A method for fabricating a dome assembly for a gas turbine engine combustor includes forming an annular dome plate including a plurality of substantially circular eyelets circumferentially spaced thereon, coupling a seal plate to the dome plate at each eyelet such that an opening defined in each seal plate is aligned substantially concentrically with respect to a respective eyelet, coupling a baffle to each seal plate such that an opening defined in each baffle is aligned substantially concentrically with respect to a respective eyelet, and coupling a swirler assembly having an integrally formed swirler and flare cone to each seal plate such that the flare cone extends at least partially through the baffle opening, and such that cooling air may be directed towards the flare cone through openings formed in the assembly.
