The computer can be used in three modes: a desktop mode, where the display section is open, the touchpad section is extended, and the keyboard is in landscape layout; a keyboard-less handheld mode, where the display section is stacked and the touchpad section is folded; and a handheld mode with keyboard entry, where the display section is open, the touchpad section is folded, and the keyboard is in portrait layout. For storage and transit, the display section is closed and the touchpad section is stowed inside the unit.
