  • Patent number: 7232334
Abstract: A flat cable 11 has a connecting end 23 provided with a conductor exposing part 24, in which an insulating coating 22 is removed so as to be electrically connected to a plurality of terminals 3 and a plurality of conductors 21 are exposed. A cable holder 12 has a cable winding part 26 around which the conductor exposing part 24 is wound so as to be turned back and a provisional holding part 27 which is rotatably supported and presses and holds the connecting end 23. A fitting housing 13, is fitted into a to-be-connected housing element 2 with the connecting end 23 and the cable holder 12 inserted thereto. A clamping part 14 is arranged in an insertion port 36 of the fitting housing 13, presses the provisional holding part 27 to the cable winding part 26, and presses and clamps the connecting end 23 to the cable winding part 26 from both sides.

  • Patent number: 6694203
Abstract: Method for manufacturing a wiring harness or a substrate for wiring wherein the wiring diagram applied to the substrate is based on the wiring harness information. Entities representing connectors, binding parts, and wiring length information of wirings are input. The wiring arrangement diagram includes lines that correspond to the wirings and do not have a length corresponding to actual length of the wirings. The wiring harness is made using the information including total length of wiring between each of the connectors, harness information generated based on the entities, and the length information of the desired wiring arrangement. Alternatively, the wiring harness information is used to draw a wiring diagram for fixing on the substrate.

  • Publication number: 20020165632
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide an apparatus and a method both capable of easily generating diagrams for manufacturing wiring harnesses. Entities of connectors, binding parts and wirings are stored in a hard disk 20. A wiring arrangement diagram is generated with a CPU 22 in accordance with the entities, values and/or characters thus inputted. The wiring arrangement diagram is displayed on a display 6. A desired wiring arrangement can be generated by carrying out amendment and/or modifications of the arrangement thus displayed using a mouse 2 and/or a keyboard 6. A wiring table and an independent wiring harness diagram both considering connection information of each terminal between each of the connectors are generated with the CPU 22 as wiring harness information in accordance with the entities, values and/or characters and so on in the desired wiring arrangement diagram.

  • Patent number: 4981442
Abstract: An electrical harness includes a shield cable connected to contact-type connectors at each end, with the shield cable including insulation clad signal transmission wires and a carbon clad ground wire covered with a metal wire. The signal transmission wires and the carbon clad ground wire are alternately arranged at intervals and wrapped in an electrically conducting sheet covered with an outer insulation layer. Each connector includes contacts and retainers, with each contact having a slot adapted to tightly receive one of the signal transmission wires or the ground wire such that in the signal transmission wires the retainers engage the outer insulation layer and in the ground wire the retainers engage the metal wire, so as to effect electrical connection therebetween.
