    Abstract: A vehicle display device and a control method thereof are provided. The present vehicle display device comprises: a camera for photographing a driver; a sensing unit for measuring the distance to an external object; a display for providing operating information of a vehicle; and a processor, which analyzes an image captured through a camera so as to track a driver's gaze, determines an external object present at the location at which the tracked driver's gaze is directed, calculates the distance to the determined object through the sensing unit, and controls the display such that the operating information is displayed on the basis of the driver's gaze and the distance to the object.
