Abstract: A method of capturing digital broadcast images in a digital broadcast terminal is provided. Upon request for output of digital broadcasting from a user, video frames of received digital broadcast frames are decoded. Upon request for a multi-capture function from the user, digital broadcast images of the decoded video frames are captured at a predetermined number of shots per unit time and stored.

Abstract: A digital broadcasting system and a method of outputting digital broadcasting data therefor are provided. In the digital broadcasting system, a digital broadcasting station transmits digital broadcasting data that includes viewing environment information, and a digital broadcasting receiving apparatus detects the viewing environment information from the digital broadcasting data and outputs the digital broadcasting data according to the viewing environment information.

Abstract: A method of transmitting a captured image in a digital broadcasting reception terminal includes outputting digital broadcasting data being received as video and audio data in response to a digital broadcasting output request of a user; if a predetermined key is pressed while the digital broadcasting data is being output, capturing a broadcasting screen on which the video data is being output; and transmitting a still image of the captured broadcasting screen shot to a destination requested according to the user's transmission request. Accordingly, an image desired by a user can be captured in realtime while digital broadcasting is being output, and the captured image can be transmitted.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for creating a user interface in a mobile communication terminal receiving terrestrial digital broadcasting data, which includes receiving digital broadcasting data corresponding to a specific frequency in response to request for the digital broadcasting corresponding to the specific frequency; separating a Main Service Channel (MSC) including broadcasting data according to each sub-channel and a Fast Information Channel (FIC) representing information of the MSC; acquiring analysis information by sequentially analyzing the separated FIC by preset predetermined frames each time; and creating a user interface menu for sub-channels of the MSC by means of the acquired analysis information. According to the a method, a mobile communication terminal receives terrestrial digital broadcasting data and efficiently creates a user interface, so that users can conveniently watch terrestrial digital broadcasting through the mobile communication terminal.

Abstract: A mobile terminal for receiving terrestrial digital broadcasting data and a method thereof are provided. A digital broadcasting receiver receives digital broadcasting data corresponding to a frequency in response to a request for digital broadcasting corresponding to the frequency. A demodulator separates a main service channel (MSC) containing broadcasting data for subchannels and a fast information channel (FIC) providing information about the MSC from the digital broadcasting data. A multimedia portion reads and outputs the FIC, and outputs broadcasting data of a subchannel according to a predetermined control signal. A controller acquires analysis information by analyzing the FIC and configures a user interface menu for the subchannels of the MSC using the analysis information.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for transmitting moving pictures in a mobile communication terminal. The method comprises the steps of determining if a size of an original moving picture to be transmitted exceeds preset maximum transmission capacity when a user requests transmission of a moving picture, generating a plurality of edited moving pictures by editing the original moving picture when the size of the original moving picture exceeds the preset maximum transmission capacity, and transmitting the edited moving pictures.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method and apparatus for processing an incoming call of a wireless telephone having a camera. The method for processing an incoming call comprises the steps of storing an image photographed by the camera in an image storage mode, generating a soundless alarm with respect to the generation of the incoming call when the incoming call is generated in an image photographing mode and maintaining the image storage mode, generating a message that a response to the incoming call cannot be performed when an incoming call holding command is issued in the step of generating the soundless alarm, terminating an incoming call processing, and maintaining the image storage mode, and guiding input of a name of a stored image file when a record termination command is issued in the image storage mode and storing the file name with the stored image file after the file name is input.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for processing VOD data in a mobile station including a multimedia processor and an MSM for controlling the mobile station. The method comprises the steps of negotiating PPP option information by performing PPP negotiation for making communication with a server when the mobile station accesses to a WAP through the MSM; transmitting the PPP option information negotiated through the MSM to the multimedia processor; setting a VOD data route using the transmitted PPP option information as PPP information of the multimedia processor; processing VOD data, which are received in the MSM according to the VOD data route, up to an RLP layer of the VOD data, and then transmitting the VOD data to the multimedia processor; and processing the VOD data, which are transmitted to the multimedia processor, from a PPP layer which is a lowest layer in the multimedia processor.

Abstract: Apparatus and method for providing thumbnail image data on a mobile terminal are provided. The apparatus and method comprise determining whether an image management mode is selected when the mobile terminal is in a standby mode; analyzing bit streams of a plurality of stored actual images to obtain picture sizes and compression ratios of the actual images upon selection of the image management mode; extracting Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) coefficients at certain blocks of the bit streams of the actual images based on the obtained picture sizes and compression ratios; and partially decoding the extracted DCT coefficients, reducing the partially decoded DCT coefficients at a predetermined rate for generating thumbnail images of the plurality of actual images and displaying the generated thumbnail images.
