  • Patent number: 7886179
Abstract: A method for adjusting the working frequency of a chip is provided. The method detects a frequency adjustment range of a graphic chip when a system is booted. Then, an application program in full screen mode is executed, and a control hot key is enabled. Afterwards, an input of the control hot key is received to display a user interface. Finally, an input frequency inputted from the user interface is received, and the working frequency of the graphic chip is adjusted according to the input frequency in the frequency adjustment range. Therefore, even though the application program is executed in full screen mode, the working frequency of the graphic chip can still be adjusted according to requirements in any time, which is convenient for the user.

  • Patent number: 7626637
Abstract: An apparatus for capturing full-screen frames, which are displayed by a display unit having a first display buffer and a second display buffer, in real time. The display unit selects one of the first and second display buffers as a front buffer for displaying the full-screen frames. The apparatus includes a capture unit, and a display driver unit for driving the display unit. When data in the front buffer is updated, the display driver unit generates image data and saves the image data in a temporary buffer. Then, the display driver unit copies the image data to a share buffer. The capture unit reads the image data from the share buffer and generates a video bitstream accordingly.

  • Publication number: 20090249246
Abstract: Methods for transmitting an instant message while a computer working in a full-screen mode. The method includes a computer executing the full-screen mode and a display control program first, and then fetching a message from an instant messenger module, and transmitting the message to the display control program, which embeds the message into a frame to be displayed next by the full-screen mode, and displaying the frame with the message. In such a way, a user is allowed to transmit and receive the message via the instant messenger module while a computer working in a full-screen mode, thus improving the convenience of using the full-screen mode.

  • Publication number: 20080259007
Abstract: A method for dynamically adjusting the brightness of an image is provided. In the method, a plurality of first pixel values of pixels in a captured display image are converted to a plurality of first brightness values when an application program is executed with a full screen picture. Then, the size and the distribution of the first brightness values are adjusted to obtain a plurality of second brightness values. Afterward, the second brightness values are converted to a plurality of second pixel values with which the pixels of the display image and displayed on the screen are overwritten. Therefore, the brightness of each display image can be dynamically adjusted, which is convenient.

  • Patent number: 7156679
Abstract: The present invention provides a module connector including a housing having four sidewalls that define a chamber for receiving a module therein. Each sidewall defines a plurality of contact recesses. A plurality of contacts is accommodated in the contact recesses and electrically contacts with the module. Pull-out prevention slices are positioned on periphery of the housing. Each pull-out prevention slice has a pressing portion which extends into the chamber and presses on the top of the module downwardly, and an actuating portion which extends upwardly from the pressing portion and is adapted for being manually pulled outward. When the module is needed to be pulled out from the module connector, by pulling the actuating portion outward, the pressing portion is driven to move outward and upwardly with the result that the pressing portion departs from the module to make way to the module for the module being pulled out. Therefore, no special tool is needed, in turn, the module is avoided being scraped.
