Patent number: 5251834Abstract: In a traveling wire take-up method and machine of a wire coating line, a wire shifting guide lever of a take-up machine shifts a traveling wire toward a snagger of a bobbin holder to change over from a presently take-up bobbin to an empty bobbin. A take-up tension of the traveling wire is increased before the changeover operation, and the take-up tension of the traveling wire is reduced to a predetermined take-up tension after the changeover operation has been finished. Furthermore, increase and decrease of the take-up tension is preferably controlled by adjusting an output of a sheave motor in a dancer roller disposed in front of the take-up machine.Type: GrantFiled: May 22, 1992Date of Patent: October 12, 1993Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Kobe Seiko ShoInventors: Yoshio Ikegami, Tadashi Kouge, Hiroaki Aoyanagi, Kaoru Morinaga

Patent number: 4734898Abstract: An autochanger type disc player for playing compact audio discs includes a disc storage area able to store a plurality of closely spaced discs, a disc playing mechanism, and a mechanism for transferring a selected disc from the disc storage area to the disc playing mechanism. During transfer of the selected disc from the disc storage area to the disc playing mechanism, the selected disc passes through a disc inlet that includes a restraining member permitting only the selected disc to pass through to the disc playing mechanism and a buffer part preventing the recorded portion of the disc from contacting non-resilient components of the disc player.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 1985Date of Patent: March 29, 1988Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha ToshibaInventor: Kaoru Morinaga

Patent number: 4646187Abstract: A tape recorder has a forward/reverse switching mechanism for switching tape travel at normal speed in the forward and reverse directions. Tape guides are disposed at two sides of a recording/playback head of the tape recorder. In response to the switching operation of the forward/reverse switching mechanism, a tape guide drive mechanism is driven. When a tape is driven at normal speed in one of the forward or reverse directions, one of the tape guides which is located in the upstream side of the tape travel with respect to the recording/playback head guides the tape, while the other one of the tape guides does not guide the tape.Type: GrantFiled: May 6, 1985Date of Patent: February 24, 1987Assignee: Tokyo Shibaura Denki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Seiji Tomita, Kaoru Morinaga, Yoshihiro Kotoda

Patent number: 4562497Abstract: A tape drive spindle for driving a reel hub rotatably mounted within a tape housing of a cartridge type tape. The tape drive spindle is provided with a base member, a spindle shaft member and a resilient joint member interposed between the base member and the spindle shaft member. The base member is adapted for rotation about an axis thereof by a driving source. The spindle shaft member is concentric with the base member and adapted to engage with the reel hub. The resilient joint member couples the spindle shaft member to the base member.Type: GrantFiled: May 11, 1983Date of Patent: December 31, 1985Assignee: Tokyo Shibaura Denki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Kaoru Morinaga, Hiroshi Kawakami, Yoshihiro Kotoda

Patent number: 4542430Abstract: A tape recorder has a forward/reverse switching mechanism for switching between forward travel and reverse travel at normal speed, and a track switching mechanism for supporting a recording/playback head to be pivotal between positions where the recording/playback head is aligned with tracks of the tape in forward travel and reverse travel at normal speed. In response to the switching operation of the forward/reverse switching mechanism, a control lever is pivoted in one direction by a cam portion of a gear to selectively engage projections with projections of a driving shaft to rotate it in different directions. The track switching mechanism is driven by the drive slider which is slid in different directions upon movement of the driving shaft.Type: GrantFiled: September 17, 1982Date of Patent: September 17, 1985Assignee: Tokyo Shibaura Denki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Seiji Tomita, Kaoru Morinaga, Yoshihiro Kotoda

Patent number: 4509157Abstract: A disc clamper includes a clamp member for holding a disc against a turntable and a support member for supporting the clamp member. The clamp member is provided with a permanent magnet, and the support member has a winding. The winding is coaxially arranged to the magnet. When a certain DC current is applied to the winding, the clamp member is subjected to an electromagnetic repelling force effected between the winding and the magnet. Then, the disc is fixed to the turntable by means of the electromagnetic repelling force, and the clamp member is mechanically free from the support member.Type: GrantFiled: July 16, 1982Date of Patent: April 2, 1985Assignee: Tokyo Shibaura Denki Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Kaoru Morinaga
