    Abstract: The present invention provides an electrophotographic lamination film which can be easily laminated by using the film as it is without significantly modifying a conventional electrophotographic device, can be printed with letters of high resolution directly on a surface of the film capable of softening at relatively low temperatures, and can form an image of high quality having sufficient heat resistance and light resistance with good recognizability even in outdoor use, as well as a method of producing the same and a method of forming an image. In the electrophotographic lamination film, a surface resistance of at least one surface of a substrate thereof is in a range of 108 to 1013 &OHgr;/□, and a Vicat softening temperature of the substrate is in a range of 70 to 130° C.

    Abstract: An image stripping apparatus includes: a stripping roller which strips an image forming material from an image recording medium by contacting the image forming material on the image recording medium; a cleaning roller for removing, from the stripping roller, the image forming material which has been transferred to the stripping roller; and a cleaning blade stripping the image forming material from the cleaning roller. The stripping roller has a surface layer made of a material having affinity and releasability with respect to the image forming material and the image recording medium. Thus, the stripping roller exhibits peelability required for stripping of the image forming material from the image recording medium and releasability required for removal of a transferred image forming material from the stripping roller.

    Abstract: An image recording material on which an image can be formed by electrophotography, and a method for producing the same. The material comprises a substrate having transparency, an image being formable by an electrophotography system on one side of the substrate, and a characteristic controlling member which is provided at a side of the substrate which is opposite to the side where the image is formed. The image is printed as a mirror image which can be viewed through the substrate. The characteristic controlling member can be provided with functions such as heat resistance, light resistance, glossiness adjustment and the like. Thus, an image of high quality having sufficient heat resistance and light resistance and good visibility, even for outdoor use, can be formed, and manufacture thereof is easy.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses an image recording member in which a layer containing a setting type silicone resin having a Knoop hardness number of from 1 to 145 on the surface of a substrate made of paper, plastics or the like. Furthermore, this invention discloses a method for recycling an image recording member comprising the steps of contacting the image recording member with the outermost surface of an image releasing member, the outermost layer being formed from a pressure-sensitive adhesive or the like such as hot-melt silicone resin, heating these material and member to transfer a toner from the image recording member to the image releasing member, and separating the image recording member from the image releasing member. Thus, the invention can maintain good fixing of an image forming material with respect to the image recording member, while the image forming material can be removed from the image recording member without damaging the recording surface.

    Abstract: The present invention provides an image-forming material which can be removed easily from image-receiving paper while maintaining the fixability to the image-receiving paper; a preparation process thereof, and the image-receiving medium. The image-forming material according to the present invention can be prepared by dispersing an oil phase, which contains an organic solvent, a binding resin, and a releasing agent composed of a hydrophobic resin and/or a wax, in an aqueous phase as oil droplets; removing the solvent from the dispersion; and incorporating the releasing agent by separating the residue from the aqueous phase. The image-forming material according to the present invention contains at least a binding resin and the above-described releasing agent and the releasing agent is contained in an amount of 30 to 90 wt % in solid content.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for reusing an image recording material wherein a releasing property is imparted to at least a substrate surface of an image recording material on which an image has been formed of an image forming material containing a heat fusible ingredient, a heat fusible material is added or attached onto the image recording material, a stripping member is contacted under pressure with the heat fusible material while heating the heat fusible material together with the image recording materials to fuse, and the image recording material is peeled off from the stripping member to transfer the image forming material together with the heat fusible material to the stripping member, thereby reusing the image recording material. The materials for imparting a releasing property to the substrate surface include silicone compounds such as silane compounds, preferably those silane compounds containing fine particles such as silicone resins.

    Abstract: An image recording paper has a recording surface comprised of a film obtained by the steps of coating or impregnating a substrate comprised primarily of a pulp fiber with a liquid composition comprising a silicone compound and a finely divided material, which silicone compound is capable of combining with the substrate and with the finely divided material by a chemical reaction, and drying the coated or impregnated liquid composition. The liquid composition preferably contains besides the silicone compound a modified-silicone oil having in a molecule thereof a reactive group. This image recording paper eliminates a conflict between fixability and releasablilty of an image forming material and is easily reusable without altering the appearance of plain paper.
