  • Patent number: 9284986
Abstract: A bearing arrangement in an actuator of a forest machine comprising a frame of the actuator, which frame defines a first opening. The bearing arrangement also comprises a bushing, at least part of the bushing arranged in the first opening, the bushing defining a second opening, at least part of an axle and/or a bearing being arranged in the second opening, the axle or bearing being arranged stationary or movable in relation to the bushing, and the bushing being removable from the frame of the actuator. Further, a method for maintaining an actuator of a forest machine, the actuator comprising a bearing arrangement of the described type. In the method, a second, corresponding bushing is provided, which is fitted for said first opening; said bushing is removed from the frame of the actuator, wherein said first opening is exposed; and said second bushing is installed in said first opening.

  • Publication number: 20150047743
Abstract: A harvester head, comprising a measuring wheel apparatus with a measuring wheel configured to roll along a tree trunk when the trunk is fed through the harvester head, and a power device configured to swivel the measuring wheel apparatus and to keep the measuring wheel pressed against the tree trunk. The measuring wheel is configured to remain in an elevated position in relation to the frame structure of the harvester head, wherein the measuring wheel also has a supporting position to support the trunk and to provide a supporting force that does not let the trunk fall against the frame structure. A measuring wheel apparatus which is applicable in a harvester head, comprising a measuring wheel with a supporting position to support a tree trunk, and which comprises a stopping member configured to stop the swinging motion of the measuring wheel apparatus when the measuring wheel assumes said supporting position.

  • Publication number: 20120018041
Abstract: The invention relates to a harvester head that comprises the frame of the harvester head to be connected to the end of the hoist boom of a forest machine, a feeding device for moving a tree trunk, a front blade and/or upper delimbing blades before the feeding device, a cutting device for cutting trunks after the feeding device, as well as a lower delimbing blade between the feeding device and the cutting device, installed on the side of the cutting device in the frame of the harvester head. In the harvester head according to the invention, the lower delimbing blade is arranged to turn into a delimbing position around the tree trunk and into a space-saving position between the outer surface of the tree trunk and the frame of the harvester head, away from the path of the tree trunk.

  • Publication number: 20120018043
Abstract: A feller device for felling and delimbing of tree trunks, as well as a delimbing blade device for delimbing of tree trunks, is disclosed. The delimbing blade device comprises: a delimbing blade having a cutting edge for delimbing of a tree trunk; a first joint, by means of which the delimbing blade can be connected to the felling device in a rotatable manner; a cylinder actuator, by means of which the delimbing blade can be moved into at least two different positions; and a second joint, by means of which the cylinder actuator is coupled to the delimbing blade. In a first example, the cylinder actuator can be placed almost parallel to a line extending via the first joint and the second joint so that the cylinder actuator and a third joint belonging to the same cylinder actuator for connection are placed in the area between the first and the second joint.
