Abstract: A pipette including a cylinder part having a cylinder and a tip part, which includes a tip channel connected to the cylinder and a movable piston tightly fit within the cylinder for aspirating liquid into and removing liquid from the tip container attached to the cylinder. In the pipette at least the tip part is made of an elastic material, such as rubber. The tip container can thus be easily and reliably fixed to and removed from the tip container.

Abstract: The invention relates to a pipette comprising a cylinder part (1) having a cylinder (2) and a tip part (3), which comprises a tip channel (4) connected to the cylinder and a movable piston (5) tightly fitted within the cylinder for aspirating liquid into a removing liquid from the tip container and attached to the cylinder. Abstract: The patent application discloses a multi-cylinder pipette (1). The pipette specifically comprises 16 4.5 mm spaced channels (5), being thus suitable for use with a plate comprising equally spaced 16.times.24 wells. The set of cylinders of the pipette has been assembled from separate elements. A set of cylinders composed of elements provides ease of manufacture. Moreover, the same element and other components can be assembled to provide various pipettes.

Abstract: The object of the invention is a ratchet wheel pipette having a body and in it a cylinder (3) and a piston (12) and a filling and dispensing arrangement to draw liquid into the cylinder and to dispense it in smaller portions with the aid of the piston.

Abstract: A pipette receptacle, or tip, which is applied to the `jet` or aspirate/blow tube of the pipette proper, wherein the receptacle has a top end with integral sections of a material different from the of the main body of the receptacle. These sections of different material can include an outer collar, an inner collar, or an entire upper portion. A color coding can be included. Additionally, methods of making the receptacle is disclosed.

Abstract: A cuvette matrix, having a row of attached cuvettes, from which it is possible to detach one cuvette to be placed in an opening in a stand. On the outer surface of each cuvette, at an angle from the longitudinal direction of the row of cuvettes, there is a holder member, which facilitates the cuvette to adhere to the sides of an opening. The holder member is moved into contact with the stand when the cuvette is turned in the opening.

Abstract: The invention relates to a pipette in which a piston is reciprocated in a cylinder by means of an electric motor. The pipette is preferably provided with a volume adjustment nut comprising locking mechanism to prevent accidental volume adjustment. According to another preferable embodiment the pipette is provided with contact switches for automatically stopping the motor. According to a third preferable embodiment the pipette comprises a cylinder assembly comprising a mechanism for ejecting a tip reservoir of the cylinder.

Abstract: Diluting dosage device, in which there is a dilution-liquid cylinder (20), a sample cylinder (30), a press knob (2), and a blocking valve (21). When the knob is depressed, the blocking valve is closed and the pistons (16 and 15) in the cylinders move rearwards, whereat dilution liquid flows into the dilution-liquid duct (2), and a certain quantity of sample into the sample duct (23). When the press knob is returned, the blocking valve is opened and the pistons push the sucked sample and a certain quantity of the dilution liquid out through the tip (7).
