Patent number: 6283069Abstract: A water lance blower for cleaning heating installations, wherein a water lance (6) is movably (5) arranged with its mouth on or in a hatch (2) and can blow a water jet through the heating installation, which is in operation and is flowed through with flames and/or smoke, onto wall areas (A-E) which can be reached from the hatch (2), wherein the water lance (6) is movable by at least one movement element (8.1, 8.2, 8.3) which is stationarily fixed at one end outside a vertical plane through the point of movement (5) of the water lance (6) to the heating installation and by the other end (7.1, 7.2, 7.3) to the water lance (6), wherein path sensors are provided for precise determination of the position of the water lance (6). Preferably three movement elements (8.1, 8.2, 8.3) are provided, the fixing points (9.1, 9.2, 9.3) of which each form in particular an angle of approximately 80° to 140° to the point of movement (5) of the water lance (6).Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 2000Date of Patent: September 4, 2001Assignee: Clyde Bergemann GmbHInventors: Friedrich Bude, Karl Albers, Stephan Simon

Patent number: 6101985Abstract: A water lance blower for cleaning heating installations, wherein a water lance (6) is movably (5) arranged with its mouth on or in a hatch (2) and can blow a water jet through the heating installation, which is in operation and is flowed through with flames and/or smoke, onto wall areas (A-E) which can be reached from the hatch (2), wherein the water lance (6) is configured in a shortened manner, in that the water supply (11, 10) is bent one or more times by in total more than 70.degree., preferably more than 90.degree. (20, 24; 39). In addition steadying of the flow profile is effected by an expanded calming volume (20) arranged in the end of the water lance (6) lying outside the heating installation, in particular an approximately spherical volume (20), so that the jet quality of the water lance is not impaired. The shortened water lance permits more simple drive mechanisms and adjustment to restricted spatial arrangements.Type: GrantFiled: November 26, 1997Date of Patent: August 15, 2000Inventors: Friedrich Bude, Karl Albers, Stephan Simon

Patent number: 6073641Abstract: A water lance blower for cleaning heating installations, wherein a water lance (6) is movably (5) arranged with its mouth on or in a hatch (2) and can blow a water jet through the heating installation, which is in operation and is flowed through with flames and/or smoke, onto wall areas which can be reached from the hatch (2), wherein the water lance (6) is movable by at least one movement element, wherein path sensors are provided for precise determination of the position of the water lance (6), and wherein at least the area of the hatch (2) is sealed by a housing (31) to which blocking and flushing medium can be admitted. The water lance blower (6) can be guided along certain pre-calculated or previously memorised lines of movement at pre-calculated or previously memorised speeds, in particular dependent upon the position, by means of the measured values. The supply of blocking and flushing fluid can be controlled by pressure and/or temperature.Type: GrantFiled: November 26, 1997Date of Patent: June 13, 2000Inventors: Friedrich Bude, Karl Albers, Richard Zachay

Patent number: 5925193Abstract: A method for determining positioning of a controllable blower lance for cleaning a pre-determinable surface of a heatable internal chamber, preferably a combustion chamber, in which deposits form, wherein at least one site of impact of a cleaning medium of the blower lance on a surface to be cleaned of the internal chamber and at least one position of at least a part of the blower lance, by means of which the direction of flow of the cleaning medium out of the blower lance can be determined, are established and recorded and a correlation is established between at least the site of impact and the position, taking into account at least one parameter concerning the internal chamber, wherein by means of the correlation, the positioning of the blower lance can be determined for cleaning the pre-determinable surface.Type: GrantFiled: November 26, 1997Date of Patent: July 20, 1999Assignee: Clyde Bergemann GmbHInventors: Friedrich Bude, Karl Albers, Stephan Simon

Patent number: 5687449Abstract: A soot blower unit with an axially moved soot blower for the cleaning of heating surfaces of a heat exchanger (1) consists of a lance tube (4) and of a travel carrier (11), which is provided with a track rail (9) and fastened at the wall (2) of the heat exchanger (1). The lance tube (4) is guided at its forward end in a lance tube guide (15) and connected at its rearward end with a blower carriage (7), which is movable on the track rail (9). The vertical spacing of the track rail (9) of the travel carrier (11) from the forward end (h.sub.1) of the lance tube (4) is less than from the rearward end (h.sub.2), which is retained by the blower carriage (7), of the lance tube (4).Type: GrantFiled: November 17, 1995Date of Patent: November 18, 1997Assignee: Bergemann GmbHInventors: Richard Zachay, Karl Albers

Patent number: 5040262Abstract: A soot-removal blower comprising , first, a lance (1) with nozzles (2) at the tip and with its base connected by way of a valve (9) to a supply of fluid and, second, a choke in path of the fluid. The choke is inside the lance in the vicinity of the nozzles.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 1990Date of Patent: August 20, 1991Assignee: BergemannInventors: Karl Albers, Hans Schwade

Patent number: 4750548Abstract: Device for sealing retractable soot-blower lances at the point of insertion through the wall of a heat exchanger. A labyrinth box consists of lamellas. The lamellas narrowly surround the soot-blower lances and are secured at the outer edge in a wall box. The wall box is tightly sealed to the wall of the heat exchanger and has an air-barrier connection. The object is to allow one wall box to accommodate several soot-blower lances, even when they have different outside diameters. Several soot-blower lances accordingly extend through the wall box and several lamellas radially surround the soot-blower lances alternately either narrowly or loosely.Type: GrantFiled: July 22, 1987Date of Patent: June 14, 1988Assignee: Bergemann GmbHInventors: Karl Albers, Alfons Temminghoff

Patent number: 4583496Abstract: A soot blower for cleaning heating surfaces of a heat exchanger wherein a lance has jets at its front and is connected at its rear through a soot blower valve to a feed line for a blowing medium. The lance passes through a wall of the heat exchanger and is sealed by a wall casing where the lance passes into the heat exchanger. A connector is provided for a purging medium for the lance between the soot blower valve and the jets of the lance. There is also a connector for a sealing medium on the wall casing. A compressor generates and distributes purging medium and sealing medium for the soot blower connected to the respective connectors. A check valve between the soot blower valve and the purging medium connector prevents flow of blowing medium into the generating and distributing compressor.Type: GrantFiled: April 19, 1985Date of Patent: April 22, 1986Assignee: Bergemann GmbHInventors: Karl Albers, Hans Schwade
