  • Publication number: 20120038068
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for the enrichment of a liquid stream with a gas, comprising a flow mixer (14) with a venture nozzle (36), having a rotationally symmetrical contraction (40) with a diameter D and being flown through axially by the liquid stream. The invention further comprises a gas feed for the lateral feed of the gas into the contraction (40) of the venture nozzle (36). The gas feed comprises at least one gas channel (54, 54?) with a diameter d<0,5*D, ending laterally in the contraction (40) of the venture nozzle (36) in a way, such that the elongated longitudinal axis (56, 56?) thereof is tangential to an imaginary cylinder surface (58), which is coaxial to the contraction (40) and comprises a diameter D?>d.

  • Patent number: 8083003
Abstract: A fire extinguisher (50, 50?, 50?) comprises a container (10, 10?) that holds a fire-extinguishing substance and that has a container jacket (12, 12?) closed at both ends, and a piston (20, 20?) which is axially displaceable in the container jacket and which separates a space (22, 22?) for fire-extinguishing substance from an expansion space (24, 24?) in the container. According to the invention, an inner compressed-gas chamber (26, 26?) provided in the container (10, 10?) is spatially separate from the expansion space and serves for controlled pressurizing of the expansion space (24, 24?). The piston (20, 20?) is arranged such that it can be displaced along the compressed-gas chamber (26, 26?).

  • Patent number: 6708772
Abstract: A container valve for fixed fire extinguishing systems comprises a valve body (12), a closure piston (26), one sealed end of which is introduced into the release chamber (24) and the opposite end of which has a sealing surface which can be pressed against a valve seat (22). Said closure piston (26) has a pressure compensation channel (36). A closing spring (32) exerts a spring force on the closure piston (26) in the direction of the valve seat (22). A trigger device (46) enables a drop in pressure to be created in the release chamber (24), in such a way that the closure piston (26) is displaced away from its valve seat (22), coming to rest against an end stop. A sealing element (38) seals the pressure compensation channel when the closure piston (26) rests against the end stop.

  • Patent number: 5971356
Abstract: The valve according to the invention in intended, in particular, for high-pressure gas containers containing up to 300 bar. It comprises a shut-off element which is hold on its valve seat under the action of a compression spring and of the gas pressure. In order that the high closing pressure can be overcome with relatively little force, a piston whose top surface has a larger diameter than the diameter of the valve seat is provided on the actuating side. This top surface is situated in a pressure space which can be connected to the interior of the gas container via a pressure-balance passage by means of an electromagnetically actuable closing element.
