  • Patent number: 11987171
Abstract: A method for regulating the light emission from a vehicle light, wherein a road user located in the light emission direction of the vehicle light is detected, and the light emission from the vehicle light is changed, whereupon response data on the response of the road user to the change in the light emission are acquired. Prediction data indicating the response expected from a road user located in the light emission direction of the vehicle light to the changed light emission are determined. The acquired response data are compared with the determined prediction data, if the prediction data deviate from the response data, the adjustment in the light emission from the vehicle light by which a reduction in the deviation is predicted is determined, and the light emission is regulated according to the determined adjustment. Further, the invention relates to a device for carrying out this method.

  • Publication number: 20070017410
Abstract: An overhead transportation system includes a support structure positioning a running surface above ground level for operating a truck along the running surface. A car body is suspended from a beam or chassis carried by the truck in such a manner to place a center of rotation of the car body above the chassis and truck. Improved performance on curves is provided through superelevation of the tracks upon which fixed steel wheel assemblies of the truck ride.

  • Publication number: 20050242355
Abstract: The invention concerns an LED arrangement with at least one LED chip (11) comprising a radiation decoupling surface (12) through which the bulk of the electromagnetic radiation generated in the LED chip (11) is decoupled. Arranged on the radiation decoupling surface (12) is at least one phosphor layer (13) for converting the electromagnetic radiation generated in the LED chip. A housing (17) envelops portions of the LED chip (11) and the phosphor layer (13).

  • Patent number: 6909789
Abstract: With a method for processing goods in an automatic reading system, for which an image of the address-containing surface of each item is obtained and transmitted to a first automatic evaluation and, in case of an incomplete evaluation of the address information, is transmitted to a first video coding for evaluation, it is provided that the address information of those images, which are not completely evaluated during the video coding, are transmitted to a further automatic evaluation by making use of the results of the video coding.

  • Patent number: 6367572
Abstract: Apparatus for providing drive assistance in a vehicle having a main transmission that is mechanical. The apparatus comprises a hydraulic motor of the type having radial pistons that is powered by a main pump. The pistons can be retracted into their cylinders in a free-wheel configuration of the motor or they can co-operate with the reaction member of the motor when they are in a working configuration. The apparatus comprises means for implementing successive stages of a sequence for causing the motor to pass from its free-wheel configuration to its working configuration. The sequence comprises an initialization stage in which the case of the motor is filled with fluid at a “service” pressure by means of an auxiliary duct and a service duct, and in which the main feed and exhaust ducts of the motor are placed at a filling pressure that is lower than the service pressure.

  • Patent number: 5759231
Abstract: A method for processing metal chips and/or metal dust, including a first process step in which the metal is moistened and fed by a conveyor system to a collecting tank, especially a settling tank. In further process steps the material being processed passes from the collecting tank into a buffer tank, and from the buffer tank it is proportioned to a dewatering apparatus. In the dewatering apparatus the moisture is removed by compressed air. Removed moisture is fed back into the scraper flight conveyor settling tank, and then the dewatered metal is transferred to a container.
