  • Patent number: 6516575
Abstract: The device (2), which is used to lock running gear (1) guided in a rail (5) and is or can be connected to the latter, has a body (21, 22) in which a locking pin (23) is displaceably mounted and, by means of a resilient element (24), is held resiliently in a first position, so that the locking pin (23) can be brought by the action of a force from the first position, in which it can engage in a locking element (36, 53) provided in the rail (5) or connected to the rail (5), into a second position, in which it is released from the engagement in the locking element (36, 53). The locking device (2), which is constructed simply and cost-effectively, therefore permits dividing elements (90), such as sliding doors, sliding counters or folding walls, which are guided by the running gear (1), to be closed off securely.

  • Patent number: 5678280
Abstract: Apparatus for guiding displaceable elements. The apparatus of this invention serves for guiding sliding elements, particularly doors, windows, dividing walls, shutters and coverings, that are slidably journalled on an upper side thereof in a first guide and are guided on a lower side thereof with an additional guide which is in turn connected with the floor or a side wall, with the additional guide including at least one elastic element which is adapted for direct force transfer or force transfer via transfer means, so as to press against the underside of the sliding element, so that the underside of the sliding element is retained by the additional guide free from play, thereby avoiding objectionable noises, both at rest and during displacement of the sliding element.

  • Patent number: 5355805
Abstract: Two mutually adjoining profile pieces (1a) of equal cross-section are connected by means of a coupling piece (16) which overlaps both of them and is situated in a coupling groove (15). The convexly arched floor of the latter is formed by the underside of a crossbar (5), the top side of which forms a running surface (6) for bearing rollers of running mechanisms. In the downward direction, the coupling groove (15) is limited by lateral holding strips (18a,b) exhibiting flat, inwardly inclined holding surfaces (19a,b), which point towards the floor of the said coupling groove and against which are pressed corresponding contact strips (20a,b) of the coupling piece (16), which coupling piece is braced against the holding strips (18a,b) of each of the profile pieces (1a), by means of, in each case, two tapping screws (17b) pressing against the floor of the coupling groove (15). At the bottom, the coupling groove (15) is adjoined by a guide groove (9) for receiving guide rollers.

  • Patent number: 5149180
Abstract: A door for an article of furniture which is slidable into a door compartment is fastened to a door-carrying bar which in turn is connected to a scissors-assembly having two beams anchored on one side wall of the door compartment. The door-carrying bar is guided on an upper rail fixed to one of two side walls of a door compartment and on a lower rail also disposed in the door compartment. In order to permit a precise fitting of the door and to facilitate an adjustment of the door, the lower rail is also fixed to the one of two side walls. Both rails are connected to the one side wall by bushings screwed into the rails and permitting an adjustment of a spacing of the rail from the side wall. The door-carrying bar has a roller which, when the door is not lowered, presses against a plastic plate provided in the vicinity of the leading edge of the one side wall. A setscrew is provided to permit a vertical displacement of the bar with respect to the scissors-assembly.

  • Patent number: 5121976
Abstract: A door for a furniture article which is lowerable into a door compartment is fastened to a door-carrying bar which is fixed to a scissors-assembly having two beams anchored on one side wall of the door compartment. To facilitate the adjustment of the scissors-assembly, an upper anchor assembly of one of the beams of the scissors-assembly is located on a fixing member, which is connected via the one side wall to an adjusting member so that, on pivoting the adjusting member about a screw, the fixing member is also moved. The door-carying bar is guided on two opposite rails, which are screwed to bushes which are in turn screwed into the one side wall for adjusting the spacing between the wall and a respective rail. For maintaining the spacing between the door and a second wall, facing the first side wall, the door-carrying bar carries a roller which presses against a plastic plate provided in the vicinity of the leading edge of the first side wall when the door is not lowered.
