  • Patent number: 5583624
Abstract: A device for the releasable fastening of a fixing drum on a bearing flange of a fixing station in an electrophotographic printer or copier apparatus has a cone-shaped spreader element allocated to the bearing flange and also has a resiliently designed receptacle bushing having an inwardly disposed counter-cone that embraces the spreader element in the fashion of a collet chuck. An outwardly disposed seating surface for the seating of the receptacle bushing is provided at an inside radius of the fixing drum. For the fastening of the fixing drum on the bearing flange the spreader element spreads the receptacle bushing and presses it against the inside radius of the fixing drum.

  • Patent number: 5301000
Abstract: A fixing station of an electrophotographic printing or copying apparatus includes a fixing roller (11) heated via a radiator module (30) and a pressure roller swingable up to and away from the fixing roller (11) via a cam mechanism (8, 7). In order that the fixing roller and pressure roller can be exchanged in the hot state, the fixing roller (11) is mounted in bearing flanges (14, 16), one bearing flange (16) being fastened fixedly and the other bearing flange (14) releasably in the machine. The releasable bearing flange (14) has holding elements (26) for the fixing roller, as well as a handle, by which the bearing flange (14), together with the fixing roller (11) suspended on it, can be removed from the fixing station. The pressure roller (9) is mounted releasably between two rockers (8) via a releasable receiving bolt (57). A cooling sheer (40, 51) is arranged in the machine for receiving the heated fixing roller (11) and the radiator module (30 ).

  • Patent number: 4746796
Abstract: A corotron wire cassette including a supply reel seated therein for the acceptance of a wire-shaped electrode is interchangeably provided in a corona-generating means of an electrophotographic printer or copier device. The supply reel in the corotron wire cassette includes a restoring spring. The wire-shaped electrode is conducted via a deflection roller comprising felt rings secured thereon for cleaning the wire-shaped electrode. Connected to the wire-shaped electrode, a coupling clip is provided at the output of the corotron wire cassette, this coupling clip cooperating, in the inserted condition of the corotron wire cassette, with a holding element of a cleaning slide of the corona-generating means. Via an electro-motive means, a control device automatically pulls the wire-shaped electrode out of the cassette in accord with the preset paper width after the cassette is inserted.
