  • Patent number: 8183985
Abstract: A method and a device for power-saving operation of RFID data carriers, whereby the RFID data carrier has a transmission and reception antenna, by way of which data are sent to or received from a transmission/read unit, by means of a radio signal, within a transmission field, whereby the data carrier is configured for a power-saving sleep mode, and switches over to the reception mode by means of a wake-up signal. With the transmission of the wake-up signal, at the same time, a time datum is transmitted to the data carrier, whereby the time datum shows the time that indicates how much time must still elapse until transmission of a command. The data carrier configured with the sleep mode switches over to a reception mode by means of a wake-up signal, whereby the wake-up signal additionally has a time datum that forms a countdown time, and switches the data carrier into the reception mode briefly, after this time has elapsed, thereby causing the data carrier to receive a command.

  • Publication number: 20110043335
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the operation of an RFID transponder, which is characterized by the fact that the RFID transponder is operated either in broadcast mode or in bidirectional response mode or simultaneously in both aforementioned modes. The RFID transporter is equipped with a wireless transmitter as well as with a wireless transmission/reception unit for operation in these two modes, said wireless transmitter and wireless transmission/reception unit being operable independently from one another.

  • Publication number: 20090199317
Abstract: The invention concerns a hard hat having wireless protection to monitor human measuring values, such as, temperature, pulse, moisture and other values which are recorded in the head section of a human and transmitted wirelessly to a stationary or mobile reception unit and which monitor the physical constitution of the hard hat user. The invention is characterized by a device at which a hard hat is equipped with a transponder which, in turn, is data connected with several measuring sensors arranged in and at the hard hat. The transponder is also connected with an antenna located in the upper part of the hard hat. This antenna is able to transmit as omnidirectional wave the transmitting frequency transmitted by the transponder in a specific frequency range to a stationary or mobile transceiver located outside of the field. In addition, the invention is characterized by a procedure to have wireless protection to monitor human measuring values.

  • Patent number: 6301958
Abstract: A process for determining the fuel consumption or operating status of combustion engines having a fuel injection pump, a supply line connecting a fuel supply container to the fuel injection pump, and a return line connecting the fuel injection pump to the fuel supply container. Measuring devices are provided in each of the supply and return lines for recording flowing fuel volumes in the supply and return lines. The measuring devices each having a signal emitter or sensor sensing signals that are allocated respectively to the measuring devices. The measuring device in the return line includes at least two signal emitters or sensors. Signals are emitted from the measuring device in the return line that are a function of respective forward and reverse flow directions, which signals are supplied to a signal selector.
