  • Patent number: 6606319
Abstract: A method is described for transmitting digital data using the time-division multiplex method, in which the data are transmitted within a sequence of time frames (82, 84). In each time frame (82, 84), at least the number of transmitted data bits matches the option defined in the ISDN Standard for 2B1Q transmission. However, a plurality of time frames (82, 82), which form an overall frame (80), are transmitted within the time which is specified by the ISDN Standard for the transmission of an ISDN Standard time frame (60).

  • Patent number: 6205144
Abstract: For the transmission of ATM digital signals of a program unit, particularly of digital, data-compressed video distribution signals, from a remote digital signal source, particularly a video server, via a head station of a light waveguide and/or coaxial line tree network respectively shared by a plurality of subscriber-side network termination units to at least one of the subscriber-side network termination units, whereby an intermediate storing of such ATM digital signals transmitted with elevated data rate occurs in the head station, the program unit is transmitted from the digital signal source to the intermediate memory of the head station with a data rate that is slightly elevated compared to the data rate nominally required for the program unit and that is retained for the entire duration of the transmission, the data stream being further-transmitted therefrom to the respective subscriber with the signal clock nominally required for the program unit that is offered by a reference clock source; the refere

  • Patent number: 5761307
Abstract: A subscriber network is operated bidirectionally and has one or more coaxial line tree networks which are shared in each case by a plurality of subscriber-end network termination units and extend between such subscriber-end network termination units and has a higher level connection unit. The coaxial line tree network or networks can be connected in each case, via a converter device, to an optical waveguide, preferably of an optical waveguide tree network, containing optical splitters, and can be connected via said optical waveguide or waveguides to the associated connection unit, for the purposes of securing data. The public key is determined in each case from a secret key prescribed in the subscriber-end network termination unit.

  • Patent number: 4114107
Abstract: An intermediate amplifier arrangement for communication lines in which the intermediate amplifier is divided into at least two partial amplifiers each having a capacitance between the outer conductor of the coaxial transmission line and the amplifier and connected to feed supply voltages such that the amplifiers are uncoupled from each other as to high frequency and utilizing low inductance and low resonance capacitors so as to obtain very low power consumption and large cyclical attenuation.
