  • Publication number: 20070053852
Abstract: The present invention relates to compositions having bioactive transfer proteins in stable carrier systems. Such systems are above all suitable for influencing/changing lipid cell structures by means of improved lipid exchange, while at the same time having great stability. In this connection, not only transfer proteins and lipid components, but also protective colloids are used, by means of which an impairment of the transfer effect of the proteins and a loss of stability can be avoided. The compositions are suitable for external topical use for cleansing, care, dermatological and/or therapeutic treatment of the skin, hair, or mucous membranes.

  • Patent number: 5641236
Abstract: A coupling for joining a pair of tubes having ends has a ball having a substantially spherical outer surface and a center and formed with an outwardly projecting pin extending along an axis radial of the ball and center. The pin is dimensioned to fit snugly into the end of one of the tubes. Another pin dimensioned to fit snugly into the end of the other of the tubes has a seat shaped to complementarily fit against the surface of the ball. The other pin is secured to the surface the ball at any of a multiplicity of angular offset positions thereon. A threaded bore is formed in the ball and centered on a bore axis traversing the center and another bore is formed in the other pin, opening into the seat, and centered on a bore axis extending at an acute angle to the respective pin. A screw extends through the bore of the other pin and is seated in the threaded bore of the ball. Normally the bore axis of the threaded bore extends at an acute angle to the axis of the pin of the ball.

  • Patent number: 5089339
Abstract: A description is given of a process for microencapsulating hydrophobic oils with color reactants of color reaction systems dissolved therein, a cationized melamine/formaldehyde precondensate being precipitated in ultra-fine suspension from its acid aqueous solution, accompanied by vigorous stirring and by modifying the solubility conditions, said suspension is mixed under vigorous stirring with a hydrophobic oil containing the color reactants in dissolved form, the oil-in-water dispersion obtained is adjusted acid and an aqueous solution of a water-soluble, nonionic melamine/formaldehyde precondensate is added, accompanied by stirring, for forming the microcapsule envelope.

  • Patent number: 5011634
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for producing microcapsules by microencapsulating hydrophobic oils, particularly with substances contained therein, in which the hydrophobic oil is mixed, accompanied by vigorous stirring, into an aqueous medium containing a dispersion-stabilizing compound. The resulting oil-in-water dispersion is acid adjusted, aminoplastic capsules are formed in the conventional manner and the aqueous fraction of the aqueous medium is removed in the usual way. The aqueous medium contains a water-soluble, cationic compound such that it forms a dispersion-stabilizing compound in interaction with the water-soluble, anionic, sulphonated melamine-formaldehyde precondensate. The microcapsules obtained according to this process can be obtained economically without agglomerate formation in the form of dry single capsules e.g. by spray drying the aqueous capsule dispersion obtained. The invention also permits the encapsulation of random substances in dissolved and/or finely dispersed form.

  • Patent number: 4824823
Abstract: A process for microencapsulating hydrophobic oils with color reactants, dissolved therein, of color reaction systems by reacting a water-soluble non-ionic melamine/formaldehyde precondensate and a water-soluble polymer in an oil-in-water dispersion for forming the capsule envelope is described. The special feature of this process is that, for stabilizing the oil-in-water dispersion, an aqueous solution of a cationic melamine/formaldehyde precondensate and the aqueous solution of a water-soluble polymer are mixed with vigorous stirring, a solid precipitating as a very fine suspension in the mixture, the mixture thus obtained and containing the very finely suspended solid is mixed with ther oil, containing the color reactant in solution, with vigorous stirring, the oil-in-water dispersion thus obtained in acidified and an aqueous solution of a water-soluble non-ionic melamine/formaldehyde precondensate is added with stirring, in order to form the capsule envelope.
