  • Patent number: 4832100
Abstract: A tire chain having a tread portion that connects an inner portion with an outer portion. The inner portion is provided with a closure, one closure member of which, from a starting position, can be connectable and releasable from the other closure member via a twisting movement. In the twisted position, a return force is operative that acts in the direction toward the starting position. The torsional movement of this one closure member can be easily undertaken. The return force that is operative in the twisted position automatically returns the closure member, after its release, into its starting position, whereupon the closure is properly closed.
