  • Patent number: 6000927
Abstract: A paste extruder includes a machine frame; an extrusion barrel seated in the machine frame and having an open end; an extrusion die connected to the open end of the extrusion barrel; and a mandrel rod which is arranged coaxially inside of the extrusion barrel, which has a mandrel tip, and which cooperates with the extrusion die, wherein the mandrel rod is comprised of a mandrel rod tube and an inner mandrel having a portion positioned proximate to the extrusion die which projects from the mandrel rod tube and having a portion arranged inside of the mandrel rod tube which has a first section arranged at a radial distance from the mandrel rod tube, and which has a second section rigidly connected with the mandrel rod tube, and wherein the first section has an elastic element which acts transversely to one of the axial direction or the direction of extrusion.

  • Patent number: 5326247
Abstract: An apparatus for extruding plastic tubing includes a machine stand; an extrusion cylinder supported by the machine stand; a housing supported on the machine stand; a hollow extrusion piston introducible into and withdrawable from the extrusion cylinder; an extrusion drive accommodated in the housing and connected to the extrusion piston for advancing the extrusion piston into and for withdrawing the extrusion piston from the extrusion cycliner; an mandrel pulling rod mounted in, and axially displaceable relative to, the hollow extrusion piston; a mandrel affixed to the mandrel pulling rod and moving as a unit with the mandrel pulling rod for introduction into and withdrawal from the extrusion cylinder; and a mandrel actuating drive circumferentially surrounded by a sleeve-shaped component of the extrusion drive in the housing and connected to the mandrel pulling rod for axially displacing the mandrel pulling rod.

  • Patent number: 4133511
Abstract: In the disclosed system a motor axially displaces a screw-threaded movable valve member by rotating it within an interiorly threaded collar. A sensor detects the movable valve member's axial position. An electrical feed-back circuit compares the sensor output with a reference value and drives the motor accordingly. In one embodiment the motor possesses a disc rotor and in another embodiment a moving coil rotor. In each case the stator links the rotor conductors which extend radially from the rotor center.

  • Patent number: 4037697
Abstract: Electro-hydraulic apparatus for actuating a friction clutch has a hydraulic actuating motor and electrical or electronic means to control the hydraulic motor through a control valve system, which includes at least one viscosity independent flow regulator to control flow of hydraulic fluid to or from the motor during operation of the clutch.

  • Patent number: 4019614
Abstract: After gears of a vehicle have been shifted, a controller compares the instantaneous difference between engine and transmission input speeds with the speed difference memorized during the gear shift, and automatically delays clutch reengagement, while the memorized difference is varied by factors including the engine speed and the minimum of engine and transmission speeds, until the resulting two differences reach a predetermined relation. This minimizes clutch wear and jolts.

  • Patent number: 3946842
Abstract: A gear box having driving members and driven members and hydraulically actuated means for engaging the driving members with driven members to effect gear change is provided with a friction clutch for coupling the engine to the input shaft. The friction clutch is actuated by a piston slidably disposed in a cylinder. The piston is connected to the movable part of the clutch. The piston is actuated by a hydraulically operated main valve of relatively large volume which in turn is actuated by a smaller electromagnetically operated primary valve to provide for rapid actuation of the clutch.
